Pale, pretty fur peaked, limbs quivered, ghostly eyes cast themselves downward as though afraid...but all she did was apologize. They'd been expecting horror, disgust, maybe even a shrill scream to brand them forever again as a monster. Gracefully, her limbs folded underneath her as she laid down, and he unconsciously knew it was to perhaps save her some face; if she'd toppled over, it wouldn't make either of them feel much better. The Other tilted its sleek head to watch her, using its jagged claws to grip Eddie's shoulder as it leaned forward, seeming to whisper in his ear though its mute silence continued on, unbroken. The male twitched an ear, however, apparently hearing something. His gaze dulled for a moment, wordlessly taking in the Other's input before he gave himself a shake, dislodging its grip on him, and refocused on the girl.

"...Most questions are uncomfortable." He stated gruffly, refusing to elaborate for the sake of his own memories. She again broke the silence with more apologies, blaming the vocabulary he could see nothing wrong with. "It's not you." Eddie finally interrupted her, curt and uncaring as to how he might come off. "I don't like people. Talkin' to 'em. The ones that aren't innocent."

And is she?

"You're innocent." Eddie confirmed outloud to his Other's question, irritated by the fact that it'd already known the answer--it just wanted to rile him up. "You work in a church...helpin' other people. Don't ask for anythin'--just worry about makin' 'em feel better." For the first time, the male smiled. It was hard, strained, and more like a grimace, but the intent was clear. "That's good..." He whispered croakily, just as the dark tendrils of the Other began to caress his cheeks.

Slowly, the strange, symbiotic being began to lay itself down against the back of his neck. It swallowed his ears, casting them in a cloak of slick darkness, gripping the base of his jaw and threatening to envelop the top of his skull. The Other was tired of this seperation, and Eddie's will to fight it off was almost gone. There was no need for this--not when they could be one.

She didn't understand the situation very well; not that it was entirely out of her comprehension, she just needed an explanation - something she had yet to be given. But it was a tad bit obvious to her that Eddie hadn't wished to speak about it, and so perhaps her lack of understanding was for the best. She watched him curiously, a sick feeling when he confirmed to himself - or perhaps to someone else - that she was, in fact, innocent. And she didn't know what to say in response; because no one had ever noted something so completely untrue about her. He was beyond mistaken. She was far from innocence and purity - how many craftusers had she killed within the time she had been alive? Her head sunk guiltily, "No..." The words were whispered softly, "I'm not." From what she had been taught, hunting a witch and burning them to ash was acceptable. Lately, she had been debating whether or not it was okay. And what would Eddie think if he knew she had been so awful?

Why was it that she cared so much about what Eddie thought?

... Because she had just, in a way, been accepted as someone that he did not entirely dislike. Had she only been accepted in the fact that she had seemed innocent? She did work in a church; yes. And of course she adored helping people. Yet, she killed witches; and in the end, what really was the difference between craftusers and human beings? Craftusers were human beings, weren't they? She was a craftuser...

She'd have considered the entire matter for longer, had it not been for the fact that Eddie was disappearing more and more right in front of her. She quirked her brow, her jade eyes inspecting him worriedly. But he was not frightened, and so it was something that regularly happened? Of this, she was unsure. She had not known many other Kitsu in her time here, and so she did not know what was and what wasn't normal.

"Eddie...?"

User Image"You don't have to hide it..." Eddie whispered in a daze, eyes wide and glassy while a giddy sort of grin slowly crept across his exhausted countenance. "We know you're good. Your eyes don't lie to us..." A strange, hissing rasp hung onto his every word, mimicking his speech in a voice that was completley inhuman, like there were two beings instead of the one male seated before her. His lips curled back in a leer, suddenly displaying teeth that were far too large and sharp while he felt the Other tenderly embrace his features, swallowing him up in its never-ending darkness. Their organic mask soon slipped into place, small rivlets of saliva spilling from the corners of their mouth as a red and writhing tongue absently flickered forth to twist tantalizingly back and forth.

"Not Eddie." They snarled at her, part-man, part-monster. The blackened beast surged to all four feet, looming with unsuppressed menace while a wild cackle sent drool splattering at the female's feet. "We are Venom." Came the rough and rasping croon as he padded closer to her, the tip of his tongue idly amusing itself by flicking at her nose and neck. "Heh! If you weren't good, we'd know..." Were those words meant to be reassuring? They did not trouble to hide an openly bared threat; if she wasn't good, there would be dire consequences.

Thick jaws snapped themselves next to her ear, though whether or not he was simply being playful was unknown. "Or is there something you're hiding from us? Come now, don't be shy! We won't bite...and if we do, it'll be all over soon!" He roared with laughter, claws scraping at the earth and tearing it asunder.

But she was not good. And if her eyes spoke differently, then they were lying. A glance up at Venom before she felt his warm saliva land gracefully onto her paws, whereupon she cringed if only slightly. The cackle all in itself had sent a shiver up her spine, added with drool was something she did not need, nor expect. She bit at her lip when it was vocalized that they were not Eddie anymore, rather Venom. And at this, she shook her head... because she did not understand. She did not understand one bit. Eddie was in there, wasn't he? And so it was not just Venom; it was more complicated than that. Much more complicated. Why simplify the truth? Eddie was Eddie, Eddie was still before her. Wasn't he? Or was she mistaken? Because she was more than certain that Eddie would not run his tongue idly along her chin, and nose, and neck. At this, she also cringed; but though she was a tad bit on the displeased side, she allowed it.

Then a snap of his jaw near her ear, and her tails flicked tiredly and discontentedly. Something she was hiding? From 'them'? No. It was something she had been hiding from Eddie, from herself, from everyone she had ever met. She had been trying to reveal the truth to herself, and she was thinking about discussing the matter with Eddie; yearning to be told that despite she had killed, she was still a good person. That killing was wrong? But if it was killing witches it was okay? But witches were the same as she, and so it was not okay? She had been so confused; she still was. And she was going to be confused until someone told her the difference between right and wrong; because it was too difficult to decipher on her own. She hadn't even been able to get the truth out and vocalized before Eddie had called her a good person, and it made her feel guilty. And now she would never be able to tell him differently. But Eddie was a part of 'them', and so - in a way - she was still talking to Eddie, wasn't she? Could he still hear her? She did not know - she knew so little.

Jade eyes inspected Venom calmly, "Something that I am hiding?" Robin repeated thoughtfully, wondering whether she should just stay low, or if she should get to her feet, instead. She chose the first, "I am not sure, actually..." Her ears flattened somewhat as she considered it over, "I'm sure about so little, nowadays. It was different, before, you know..." She looked up at him tenderly, "And you? You are Venom? Or are you Eddie; or am I mistaken entirely, and you are neither?" he was not Eddie, he was Venom. But Eddie was there, and so it was Eddie. She frowned at the puzzle of contemplation; she was incapable of putting the pieces together. And her eyes flicked towards the earth of which his claws scraped at before she brought her attention back upon the large Kitsu's features, quietly; "Who are you, exactly?"

They'd made her uneasy, almost able to smell her confusion, her roiling, conflicting emotions. That was it, yes, let her falter in the darkness of her own faults, drown in these imaginary sins she felt so woven into. Did she still think them to be only Eddie? How easy it would be to lift one massive paw and smash some sense into her... but no, no, she was an innocent. The rage that burned deep and unrelenting throughout their body would need to be extinguished elsewhere, for she did not deserve it. "Why so nervous then, sweetheart? We won't bite..." He snarled sweetly, laughter rumbling in psychotic cackles throughout his entire body. "...At least, not too terribly hard! But you trust us, don't you? Heh!"

One, one, one at last once more! Their very being ached with joy at their unhindered union, knowing it strained them both to be so close, yet unlinked. But who did it truly strain? Not Eddie--Eddie wanted time to think, didn't want this seperation--

Venom's face had smoothly altered itself into a silent snarl, saliva coating the sleek thickness of his jaw to suspend itself under his chin. Dripping silently to the shredded earth below, the big beast tilted his head slowly to the side, listening to the mental battle between two entities that waged on and on. They heard her question--yes, but for a moment, they were completely unable to respond. Who were they? Eddie, Venom, Other...Who?

"We are Venom." They affirmed after a moment, drool still spilling soundless from their jowels as they pondered. "One mind. One body. Us."

Admittedly, she did not like the reply. But it was the truth, and she had to accept it no matter how she felt about it. Her jade eyes watched him, doubtful, and she questioned whether or not she should just up and leave - or wait patiently until he, himself, left. It was a difficult decision - partly because she had just begun opening up to Eddie when he had transformed, partly because Venom had been drooling all over her. And the entire situation was so enigmatic, and she could not grasp exactly what was happening - despite the fact that it was all displayed right before her. But she had no right to judge. But that was debatable; everybody had the right to judge, didn't they? But just because they had the right didn't make it okay. Judging was wrong. She could not judge them - she would not judge them. It was not right to judge them. Because Eddie had been admirable, trustworthy. And Eddie was Venom. They were Venom. But could she trust them?

"I can't say I fully understand the entire situation, Venom..." She spoke awkwardly, the name foreign on the tip of her tongue. "I can't say I understand it at all, actually. But I can say that I do trust you. I trust Venom. I don't know whether or not I should... but I do." She hoped her word choice was okay, prayed that he would accept the answer. He seemed rough... and he was notably large, his saliva dripped all over the place... but he had yet to hurt her, and his intentions were not to hurt her. What Venom wanted was to enjoy himself, he wanted to joke, he wanted to play. He was like a child...

And she loved children. Therefore, she loved Venom. She loved them. Despite the fact that they had been drooling carelessly on her fur, despite the fact that they made her feel uneasy... she loved them. She trusted them. And though they're words and decisions were sometimes brash, their intentions were admirable; and she respected this. She respected them.

But Robin was tired. Her legs were tired, her tails were tired, her eyes were tired, her lips were tired. Though despite this, she offered Venom a gentle smile, and rose onto her paws. He was larger than herself, by a long shot; but this was not surprising. She had expected as much.
