a.f.k. is pretty well-known for being the best Haruhi subber, subbing many KyoAni works, and for subbing Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Triad is famous for subbing Kaiji and loli anime. They, however, are quite different on how they work. Using an analogy, a.f.k. is like a worker who starts on a project and decides not to finish it, and at the same time, decide to help on a project with already an ample enough of workers. Triad is like the worker who works on a project ignored by others, piss people off by saying they won't do it any more, then continue on doing it. Basically, a.f.k. works on ZSZS, and they all of a sudden stop. Then they decide to work on Clannad, which is subbed by everybody. Triad works on Kaiji, then posts a comment that they won't pick it up until September. They get mean comments from their viewers, then pick it up again. a.f.k. is the type who just does what they want to do, while Triad is the type that gets inspired by criticism.
Remember back when SZS wasn't getting subbed much? Bure-Tsuki decides to do a little bit for those fans left in despair. Out of the blue, a.f.k. returns and starts releasing episodes as if their status was threatened. a.f.k. is really a group that does what they do and doesn't want anyone else to take what they have thrown away.
This is just one of my rants. sweatdrop

I guess that's why I've stuck to KAA ever since I downloaded Serial Experiments Lain for the first time (read: since I still had dial-up interwebs, [read: SINCE ALWAYS!]). These guys always finish what they start, and although their job with SE Lain was kinda lackluster, they did one hell of a ******** awesome job with Texhnolyze and Love Hina. surprised
