Does anyone know how to fix it? It's like it doesn't read my steps until too late. It's really fritzy. AND IT'S BRAND NEW! GGGGRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHH!

If it's brand new, find your receipt and return it.
If that's not an option, then ummmm... probably a loose wire. I would open the back and check all of the connections. But those things are rarely easily laid out inside, and you might need some basic electronics tools to fix it. So I suggest getting someone you know who has a clue about such things to give it a go.

That's cause DDR SUCKS!
Just kidding, but not realy. Anyway, yeah, your only real option is a return, but depending on where you bought it, they may let you do an exchange even if you don't have the reciept, and it help even more if you went to the same person who rung you up.

*wails like a child* I did get a new pad and... And... It still doesn't work! So something is off in the connection between my PS2 and the pad. But I dunno what! Or maybe its the tv? It started happening when I hooked up my new Tv! Whhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Maybe you should try playing a game that uses a controller so you see if it might be the console. If it is take it into a game shop so they can take a look at it. There also might be dust in it or something.
