Professor_Markus Hansma I think all art schools might be in bad areas...
It must be some secret conspiracy to make us tough... Surprisingly, my school is in a small town where there's no crime, like EVER. It's really strange. Maybe I'm at a shitty school ;A;

I <3 Toronto.Only been to toronto a few times the last year or so I've lived here, but I don't know. I'm not a big city kinda person, and of course, the first time I saw homeless people sleeping in a bus shelter (OMG SOOOOOO COOOOOL) I got laughed at.

Ahh, *stretch* After 700 miles of driving and five hours total in a plane, I am hoooome~!
I now see what you've all said. Savannah is adorable, but bordered by some extremely unsafe looking areas. I mentioned that we had driven through this area with all these tiny little falling-apart shacks before finding the Ringling campus, and the tour guide just said "oh... um... yeah. You're not supposed to see that." Ringling looks pretty snazzy though. Small campus, in retirement central though... eegh. X_O If they put Ringling in Savannah and got rid of the ring of sketchiness surrounding the campus, it'd be all right.

Bby, I went to CCS in Detroit.
I think you'd be surprised at how well you adapt to your location.
Consider what it would be like to live in that area, but remember that if the school is perfect for you then maybe you should make some sacrifices.
Its all about balance.

Haven't really heard much about SCAD aside from in this guild. I heard some really positive things about Ringling, and talked to some people at NPD, but paying 350 dollars for the priviledge of applying to Ringling was bullshit.
I go to the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
our campus is haunted by dead tuberculosis patients. (seriously. my animation department is located in an old morgue)
incidentally. we are in a shitty shitty part of town XD
