So
I work at a Wal-mart Supercenter in the Pets Department
Last Tuesday,
With our weekly fish shipment
A small water-dwelling beetle came in by accident with the ghost shrimp and male fancy guppies
I watched it with fascination during lulls in customer activity and really gave it no thought
And
As yesterday was my 22nd birthday and I didn't work,
I bought myself a gift:
1 Fishbowl
1 1-inch fish net
1 .42-ounce can of goldfish flakes
1 5-pound bag of gravel
1 small plastic aquarium plant
1 small common goldfish
2 ghost shrimp
(and "rescued" the beetle)
Well,
After I got home that night and set up the bowl,
I looked up water-dwelling beetles on the net
And it turns out that the beetle I "rescued" was in fact a backswimmer nymph
So
In essence
I rescued the guppies in the fish tanks at work from a predatory bug
lol
