Quote: So. Wedding. Richard and Corinne would brighten into being again inside a large, marble dome. The room they were in was nondescript, red and white tapestries hanging from several points along the walls, religious propaganda strewn throughout the room on small side tables. The floor was mosiac, it appeared. Behind them would be two large oak doors, leading out, and in front of them, would be two smaller doors, normal sized, white with embossed patterns edging it. They seemed to be in a small chamber off a church. A cathedral, to be exact. The small windows in the great oaken doors behind them would show no scenery-just stars. As if they were in a church in space. Strange. The place felt comforting though, as if returning home to something. Corinne released Richard shortly after their arrival and took a moment to wander around the room they had appeared in. She eyed over the religious propaganda, gently ran a hand along one of the tapestries, and spent a moment gazing wondrously out at the stars beyond the windows before running back and throwing her arms around Richard. "Oh Honey it's amazing," she exclaimed, smiling widely. "Where in the world are we?"

"A haunted church." Richard said, as if that were a perfectly normal thing. He seemed pleased she liked it though, but that little side note might not be appreciated. "An old friend lives here...he'll do the honors, I hope." He hugged her back, happy for the first time in months. He didn't think about anything other than Corinne right now-he wants to stay happy, and he's so glad about her seeming recovery.
A man came in from behind a tapestry, wearing large, thick spectacles perched on the end of his nose, brows furrowed. He was older, yes, wearing red robes and using a walking stick. "...Richard? Is that you Richard? Or am I to set off the hounds?" Richard gestured for Corinne not to speak yet. "It's me. Suclose" He replied, nodding, even though the man, apparently, didn't see them. "I've decided, Master Reynolds, to take you up on your offer, when I moved your church here?" He nodded to Corinne. She could speak now, if she wished. "You have?" The old man grumbled, adjusting his spectacles, looking at Corinne, or kind of looking at Corinne, somewhat off her shoulder. "Are you being bewitched?" He asked Richard, who seemed to be keeping himself from laughing. "Alright then..." And the man hobbled right off. (Unless Corinne says something to him)

Corinne blushed lightly when the old man appeared and held her coat closed over her evening wear. A haunted church? Did that mean that Richard's friend was a ghost? She watched the old man curiously, her head buzzing with questions. But they could wait. "I should have brought a dress," she said a bit regretfully after the old man had gone. She didn't care much about how the ceremony went, but she had been dreaming about wearing the most amazing dress. Until of course, Richard disrobed her the evening after.

"Then you shall have one." Richard said, kissing her forehead softly, taking her hand and leading her to the other tapestry. "And...he's quite blind. I promise." He added, nodding. "He's a priest, erm...kind of. This place used to sit in the middle of a town, and I was asked to remove it, since he terrorized the villagers. Now...I don't just blow places up...so I convinced the man to let me move him where 'no one could bother him and his congregation.' Brilliant idea, but I think it helped that I was dangled upside down over a pit of boiling oil when I came up with it." He chuckled, the sound rumbling through his chest and then to his mouth. Genuine, as his laughter always was. They had gone down a short hall hidden behind the tapestry, Richard seeming to be remembering the path from a long time ago. It helped the old man had taken him on a 'tour' to show Richard everything that he expected to be there when Richard 'moved' his church. "Here..." He turned the knob to a heavy arched door, and peered inside first. It was already lit, as the whole place seemed to be, and Corinne would see rows and rows of dresses, gowns, and all the other things weddings needed. "Hm...I hope something in here pleases you, Corinne." Richard turned his head back to smile at her. It was quite obvious she could have worn a pillow case and he would have found her just as beautiful. It was that kind of love, the 'aw' kind.
"You'll just have to go back down the hall, and then in through the oak doors. Not the ones outside-don't go there. But the ones leading to the Cathedral. Alright? I've got to go change too...and make sure things run smoothly..." He smiled again, happy. "Anything else you need love?" He asked her.

"I should be able to find everything just fine," she said, gazing at the dresses and gowns like a kid in a candy store before turning and giving Richard a kiss. "You go get ready and I'll be there shortly," she promised while she shooed him out of the room and turned back to find the perfect outfit.

Richard smiled and turned to go, shutting the door quietly behind himself as he was shooed out. Well. She'd have fun in there. He walked down the hall and into the room they had been in, going behind the tapestry Reynolds had disappeared behind. The old man set upon him instantly. "Hurry, hurry-you have to be there when she goes in! Come on come on-" His right arm was seized, and Richard lets the frail old man cart him down the hall. "Everything is in order?" Richard asked, amused with the entire prospect of getting married in a haunted cathedral. "Yes!" The man snapped, as if offended Richard could think it otherwise.
When Corinne entered the cathredral, music began to play, floating into the massive space from above somehow, no clue to it's source. There were rows and rows of faded people in the pews, their colors muted, eyes straight ahead on the pulpit. Most anyway. Some were more active, more colored, and they turned to smile at her, as if they knew her somehow. Most of these were women. The high glass windows were stained in many colors, pictures in the patterns, the stars beyond them shining through in little tiny points, reds and blues and golds brightly illuminated. And ahead of the carpeted path was Richard, dressed neatly in a black and white tux, looking quite handsome. He wasn't wearing gloves, but that was to be expected, really.

Corinne was smiling widely enough to make her cheeks hurt for days afterwards as she made her way down the aisle. Not that she cared or noticed though. While she occasionally glanced around at the occupants and beautiful scenery, her eyes always found their way back to Richard. She had never seen him more handsome as he was and in due time she found herself standing next to him and smiling up at his face.

"You're beautiful Corinne..." Richard told her softly, beaming as well, because this was, indeed, one of the happiest days of his life. He loved her more than he loved anything-his work included. And it's no small feat, to have Richard love you more than his studies. He took her hand gently and reluctantly turned his eyes to Reynolds. The man was squinting through his thick glasses at the two of them, as if they were strange and unknown beings from another world. And, technically, they were. Least to him. "Ready to begin?" He asked in a grumpy manner, as if they had been holding him up for some reason. He started to speak before they could answer, hands raised apart and over his head. "The marrying of two people is a sacred thing-even today, in a world of hate, of worry, of pain-it can be the strength of love that will hold a man and a woman together, an immobile stone in the flood." The man looked at them both over the top of his glasses, arms lowering to his wooden stand again. "...may your love stand the tests and trials life shall throw to you. May it stand the tests of time, the tribulations." He said, as if speaking only to them, no longer to his ghost congregation. (*Insert fanciful things that mean nothing here for him to say*) "Richard, do you take this lovely woman to be your wife?" Richard nodded, solemn voiced. "I do." The man then turned to Corinne. "Do you, Miss Corinne, take this good for nothing as your husband?" Richard couldn't suppress the light, breathless chuckle. Being called a good for nothing on his wedding day. He glanced down at Corinne out the corner of his eye, suddenly finding himself lacking breath, not for the first time since he's known her either.

Corinne blushed lightly at the praise and entwined her arms around Richard's, lightly leaning her head against him as she paid attention to Reynolds. She laughed lightly at the not so subtle jab towards her love. Turning her still smiling face up towards Richard, she said clearly, "I do."

"Hm. Alright then." Reynolds said, making a motion with his hand. "'Til death do you part, young man. You may kiss the bride." He said, bowing his head slightly, giving, apparently, his permission. Richard leaned down to press a soft kiss to Corinne's smile, glad he'd finally been told that. "It is my pleasure to introduce-" Reynolds said to his ghost congregation. "Mr. and Mrs. Richard Saverell!" Faint applause as Reynolds turned them both around, Richard's arm slipping around Corinne's waist, guiding her forward as he began to walk. There might not have been thrown rice, but there was a lot of rainbow lights from the windows. He paused to pick Corinne up, an arm around her back and one beneath her knees, kissing her again as he carried her down the aisle. "Well, we don't have to worry about thank you notes..." He said, joking lightly. He was immensely pleased with the lack of curtains catching on fire during they're wedding. He had been a tad concerned when Reynolds had tried convincing him to use fireworks. "I love you, Corinne. Forever." He murmured, not wanting to set her down at all, not wanting to wake up and find her still lost and sad. He walked through the oak doors. "Forever." He repeated, nodding. He never wanted to lose her again. Ever.

"I feel the same way," Corinne said, snuggling against Richard's chest and taking a moment to appreciate the chapel's beauty which she had passed over earlier. "I couldn't have dreamt of a better wedding."
