I remember as a kid, I used to think that tofu was one of the most vile foods ever created.
Then, the other day I accidentally had some in a pita and it was delicious! So I bought some and made pitas with it. Very yummy.
So, have there been any foods that you've given a second chance to?

Sushi. Mom was silly and started me out with occtopus or something weird.
Love it now though. I really don't like fish that much in general. But sushi is a definite exception.

I used to hate the idea of eating tofu or sour cream.
First I tried fried tofu, despite it all, and loved it.Then I tried it regular. Now I love it.
Eating sour cream seemed nasty to me because its fermented. But Taco Bell cured me of that. 4laugh

So no harm done, right?

Second chance foods... Mine would have to be pancakes, believe it or not. When I was little, someone cooked pancakes very badly and they were still batter-y inside, and it was disgusting. At the time, I didn't realize it was just bad cooking that made the pancakes gross. I finally gave pancakes a second chance, though, and, of course, loved them. But you said tofu and my mouth is now watering. I LOVE tofu. Cooked right, I could never get enough. I know of two Chinese restaurants that cook DELICIOUS tofu -- both family owned and local.
