There is nothing admirable about feeling miserable. No one wants to experience it, and few are willing to be near someone in that state. After all it tends to be contagious.
So, like the many who don't wish for solitude when they are feeling this down, Shina swallows her misery and doesn't let it show until she's alone. Only then does she feel free to drop everything else and pray. She prays with every fiber of her being, offering up her negative emotions and hoping that this time she will be at peace. When the calm that results flows into the half-fa'e she always relaxes, slipping into the trance-like state her body's adopted since her son's birth for the rest she needs.
It never lasts long, that calming of the turbulence that constantly builds up inside of her. The emotions of others only spin these faster, till she has to distance herself from their company whether she wants to or not.
Today is one of those days. After kissing Sei on the forehead and using the excuse of the need to go shopping in order to get the seeds she requires to begin cultivating a small garden next to Zero's residence, the half-fa'e has headed into town dressed casually, with but a small purse to hold her belongings. She doesn't go to the market as she said she would, at least not yet. Her steps diverge to a lesser known path, one that winds towards the dimensional rift that houses the old rose cottage she once lived in with first her mother and Alimus, then ... No, she's day dreamed about Hoshi enough for one day. Walking on, she thinks instead of the other fa'e she cares deeply about, wondering how they fare. Her thoughts settle on one in particular, and she fingers the charms of one of her bracelets. "How are you now, Sati? Have you found another to light you up from within, as Silver once did?"
The smell of cherry blossoms greets her upon her stepping through one reality and into another. Her pace slows so she can take in the scenery, letting the memories come to her gradually.

Heavy. That was how Sati felt. All the time. Every day. It was making her ratty. Well more than usual at any rate. She was lonely as well, looking for someone who knew how she felt but hadn't decided that the whole experience had ruined her life as Keir had said. If only Shina was still around. She didn't know how long it had been since she last saw the Fa'e, though she couldn't remember seeing her after the baby shower.
According to her mother though, Fa'e weren't the only ones to be a notable in their absent. Rhiannon was in a deep depression over the fact that Damien had seemingly gone missing, and Sati had not seen or heard from Nyoka either. So Sati decided that she would at least try to find Shina, and then the rest of her friends that had gone absent. She wasn't sure where to start though, deciding to begin at what she thought might be the least likely place. The cottage had been a haven when Sati had most needed one, but Shina had not been living there permanently even then as she vaguely recalled.
Sati frowned as she approached, not really noticing that she'd moved from one place to another. She still felt as if that her memory had been comprimised when Kali had locked herself away. 'Shina?' The figure was the first she saw, but seemed altered somehow so she wasn't sure if it really was her.
