I wanted to get some poll gold but I cant say whether yuo should stay or go. that is up to you and if yuo feel comfortable here. I have noticed that your beliefs tend to differ from the christian faith, but if you would like to hang around by all means do.

one thing I would like to note about being a christian is that it does no good to "stradle the fence". God says He will spit a lukewarm christian out of his mouth like one would spit a lukewarm drink (or flat soda). In becoming a christian yuo have to be willing to lay down yuor old life, ways and even your old ideals. many cherish things like work, school and family and I cannot deny they are good values. but we all have to choose what is of greatest value to us. may God bless you and protect you whichever path yuo may choose.

ps. God wants us to choose Him for ourselves, thats why He gave us free will. we ought not run to Him just because everyone else is or because we're afraid of going to hell. I had to step back from the church when I was younger and consider what was true and what I valued, thats when I fell in love with God tho I always knew Him, thats when I was willing to give all for Him.

Now I seriously don't understand at all. Satanism is practically the arch nemesis of Christianity, and of course everyone knows that Satan is the lord of all evil and hates everyone, so why join him? Why be a traitor? And the most shocking in my opinion is that this is a Christian guild, why is it that no one else appears to be as shocked as I truly am?

Finally somneone said something! I tend to leave people in peace but i most certainly will not show kindness to him.

Please excuse my squirrely ignorance, but is that the opposite of how christians, as well as many other faiths, should act?

Also Paladin, apparently you don't know what it means to be an agnostic. It think means without knowledge in latin. It's like being a deist except deist lay a claim that God is not involed with this world, while agnostic believes that their are no solid facts to any beleif and that the chances of all religions being wrong are very high. It's not wishy washy when you try to seek a religion that suits you, and it's not wishy washy if you find all religion to be false.

Well I learned something new today. Yet another belief I didn't know existed. I do think that some religions are false. I have always wondered if God really had a hand in writing the bible, or was it just written by man as a means to control the masses.

Many scholars agree that it is as is an ancient text, and had multiple authors. Most Christians agree that God inspired those writings, even though the authors wrote according to their own free will. The book itself wasn't meant for the purpose of controlling others. It was when people were forbidden to read it, that leaders would manipulate people claiming their source was the bible.

My back up has arrived XD. Anyways I do feel that Christianity as well as Buddishm an Hinduism were faiths that were made to halp people improve themselves since all three are suppose to be religions that ask for their followers to be peaceful.

Yeah it does, which reminds me. I kinda left that thread hanging. I feel kinda bad about it actually. I can be quite busy IRL and tend to forget things. sweatdrop

Of course, your beliefs have changed a little since that haven't they?

Now, Lazarus did you want to respond to my questions earlier?

Now, when you say you were with God, and terrible things happened to you, what was the status of your relationship with God then. Did you pray daily? Did you attend Church often? Try to tell me as much as you can remember.

i prayed constantly, chuch atendance was a little less frequent mostly because i'd become disenfranchised with groups of christians already by this point not individual groups but actual gatherings. besides that it took away from valuable time better spent begging for cash so i could eat on sunday.

I'm glad to hear that you were praying during those times. There are many people who religiously go to church and don't even pray that much. Sometimes its those people that act a certain way that make you wonder if they are really with Christ.

I can understand your frustration with gathering with other Christians, especially when all that is going on is religion. It happens to all churches/members at some point. They may have been on fire with the Spirit for a while but people's passion dies down or they just get burnt out and they hit a slow point in their relationship with God.

I just want to let you know that not all churches stay like that forever. I personally like the idea of "church hopping" especially if you feel like the church you are going to, is going no where. It says in the bible where 3 or more are gathered in His name, He is there. So try not to discount gathering in His name completely, because it really does help us grow. I personally love bible studies. They are focused on learning about God, and not religion, so if you want to give the church a second chance, I would suggest a bible study, that way you can take part in a discussion at the same time.

I just wanted to let you know that there really is a wonderful side to Christianity, its just that some people who say that they are Christians really are not in Christ. I would hate to see you turn away from something that you never really experienced, due to the fact that you may have burned by the religion/religious people and never actually experienced following Christ.
