Hey guys~

So, I was reading through ASNs transcript of The Eclipse, just because I like to see how the potentially shippy bits are perceived neutrally (hehe), and one thing caught my eye. I went and watched the episode again, and it was indeed true.

Alright, you know the bit where Sokka is screaming at Azula about Suki? Of course you do, it was awesome. Anyways. We all probably noticed the transition between Azula's smirk and Ozai's smirk (as, at the same time, he was talking about Ursa), but did anyone notice the fact that it transitioned from Zuko to Sokka? Close-up, frontal shot (it wasn't STRIKING, but it was definitely there).

So, in terms of foreshadowing or whatever, what do you think this means? Obviously the simple fact that these transactions were being shown simultaneously means that there's a link between Suki and Ursa, or at the very least, Zuko and Sokka's feelings for the women.

There's about a billion ways you could interpret this... So, let's boil it down to the main categories of interpretation, shall we?

RELATIONSHIP
The most obvious is that both of them care very much about the women, and they're willing to risk their lives for both of them. They stayed for information when they should have been fleeing for safety.

Another more radical shippy POV on it is that Sokka has similar feelings for Suki as Zuko does for Ursa, that is, familial love. This makes no damn sense, looking back on the kiss in The Serpents Pass (DAMN, that episode both made and broke Tokka!), but it is vaguely possible that in the time that they've been apart, Sokka has grown to love her more as a sister or family member than a girlfriend.

Likewise, it could be seen as Zuko having a very Freudian relationship with Ursa... xDDD

WHEREABOUTS
Hopefully, this link also signifies that perhaps the women are in the same place. This would make it much easier for plot purposes. xD; However, the question is: WHERE are they? At this point it's looking like wherever they are, they're together, or at least close.

Option 1, probably the most likely: Prison. Episode 313 and 314 are going to be two-parters, called The Boiling Rock. I don't know if this is speculation or if the creators actually stated this at some point, but this is supposed to be an island in the middle of a boiling lake. Perfect prison, right? Can't swim away! So, luck permitting, the Gaang will find both Suki and Ursa here. I don't see why they'd make a 2-part episode at this point otherwise, with the title.

Option 2: They're both on the run. Again, hopefully, they'll be on the run in the same group or something. One option that might be interesting is that there's a refugee camp, or something. Kind of like the Underground Railroad. Y'know, people who shelter 'enemies of the Fire Nation' on a certain route so they can get out of the Fire Nation and back to the Earth Kingdom. So, the Gaang goes here because as of know they're not in disguise and everyone knows the Avatar is back. Suki and Ursa enter, leads to teary reunion and eventual discovery by Fire Nation forces of camp, forcing them to once again flee, but with Suki and Ursa in tow.

Please note, all of that was CRAZY FANGIRL SPECULATION. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of that happening. I made it up on the spot, srsly.

Option 3: Dead. They're both worm fertilizer. I really doubt this as Avatar isn't usually so depressing. It would make for some good anger-fodder for Zuko and Sokka though. But, wait, didn't we learn in 312 that anger is baaaaad for firebending? Okay, I guess they're not dead. Probably. It's always a possibility.

Option 4: They joined the hippies!!! biggrin D

...Okay, so probably they're in prison.

SO. What do you think happened to 'em? Do you think there is a link between them? Do you think this was an entirely frivolous post?

I don't quite understand what are you writing sorry.

Who is Ursa? I that Zuko's mother?

I don't understand the purpose of mentioning Azula and Ozai, if you then go to talk about Zuko and "Ursa" relating it to Sokka and Suki...

Sorry, but I found it very confusing.

Yes, Ursa is Zuko's mother.

I mentioned Azula and Ozai because in 311, there was a clear parallel between them that was easily noticable, with shift of the camera. However, I also pointed out that in the same scene, there was a similar camera shift with Sokka and Zuko. I then went on to talk about how this could indicate that there's a link between them, and between Suki and Ursa (since this was the subject of the conversations).

I think it makes perfect sense! Very good thought process and assumptions! Also, you know about new episodes?!?!?! WHEN???

There's one thing that bugs me about one assumption and some of the options.
Didn't we "see" Ursa running away from Zuko when he read about his family's past and realized his relation to... certain people?

If that's true, option 1 and 3 are eliminated for Ursa unless they caught her shortly after. I think she's on the run but it seems she is close enough to be informed.

(Option 5: Met up with the Earth King THEN joined the hippies) xd

You put alot of thought into this, didn't you? Well, it makes total sense to me. All of it, that is. Which makes no sense. I'll stop talking now xD

Oh, and I think option 5 sounded great, Negi lol

The only problem I see, is that Ozai pretty much stated that Ursa was in banishment. That would imply that she is free, and not in prison somewhere(Option 1 is out). Of course. It could have been a deliberate lie..

I'd still go with:
Ursa runnin' off somewhere.
Suki imprisoned.

They cut between Zuko and Sokka alot though, don't they? Like in 'The Warriors of Kyoshi' Zuko is looking at a map, then they cut to Sokka looking at the same one.

Hmmm....

♪~I would love to see those hippies again, they were awesome in my case :'D

But I'd think that Suki would be imprisoned under Azula's guard (Yikes!)
And that Ursa would have joined the White Lotus ~♫

STFU Hollow. D<
(<3)

NarutoAvatarHP: There was the cover art released for the 3rd disc of the 3rd season, and with this cover art there was the title of two new episodes, entitled 'The Boiling Rock'. ASN FOR THE WIN.

Negi: We don't know if it was Ursa though. Dx I am really really really hoping that it was. If so, yeah, then those options are eliminated... I'd like the option of the tables being turned and Ursa busting Zuko out when/if he gets captured. Y'know, HER rescuing HIM. ^w^ (Taking cues from THIS STORYBOARD.)

I actually think the reason Sokka is so protective of Suki is because he lost the last one so abrubtly and to loose another would break him.
Zuko, I don't doubt.
His mom was the only person in his family with a freaking brain. Well, except for Iroh, but I am talking about immidiate family here ~

how cool ould it be if Ursa could firebend! She has experience on her side as oppsed to Azula who doesn't have as much. and she is a woman and woman are pretty much the strongest on this show. Katara, Toph, Azula, are all super! Ursa would be a cool firebender. Besides, she has to be able to protect herself when she is on the run right?
