My mom laughs at it.........a lot. But other than that, she doesn't make a big deal about it. I I can't get her to watch anime...or rather won't let her. The last anime I watched with my mom was Samurai Champloo and she made me delete every last episode off my computer. But I do watch doramas with her sometimes. She got really addicted to watching Liar Game with me. And I do teach her Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese words from time to time. I taught her how to greet me in Japanese when she comes home a couple of weeks ago. She says it pretty often, but she usually says the reply rather than the greeting.

Lol My family used to give me a hard time. Like what it sounds like in the op (exept my mom. were always making fun of each other for anything). but now that I'm a bit older, they just kinda give me a hard time about the way I dress, I usually go out with a black shirt that has a band of some kind on it, and cargo pants, say that I'm not "coordinated" or something.

My parents talk about me sometimes but i come back with the old i am not weird i am eccentric.
The people who talk about me the most are my cousins because i sing anime lyrics and i don't listen to everything they do but i know more about hip hop then they ever will so yea.
One of my cousins watch anime too so i do have some back up

my family supports me by buying the things i like. Although i have to hide a lot of it because they are kinda hardcore Afro centric Christians. So alot I cant really show or tell them about.

Yeah a bit however anime is becoming more and more mainstream. I come off as more dorky than odd. I don't really like any Japanese music but I do like some of the animations and manga. Everyone in my house under the age of 30 likes DDR cause we pretty much related it to the break dancing (for dummies) also it better when you turn down the game music and play some old school hip hop. cool
