Deep in the heart of Shadowclan territory, slightly out of the way of the main camp, is a carefully crafted den sheltered from the cold wind by thick branches and defended against invading clans by sharp thorns and brambles. Inside the den the tantalizing scent of herbs hangs heavily in the air. On one side dried leaves and berries are carefully sorted, and a wad of cobwebs clings to a rock.
Three nests are situated in the den, two of them quite possibly as far from one another as they could be. Larksparrow and Heartpool's scents are easily recognizable, as is the scent of the newest medicine cat to join Shadowclan, Starpelt. The den's atmosphere is an odd mix of warmth and tension.

When a tom very dear to her was hit on the Thunderpath and the old medicine cat wasn't able to save him, Larksparrow gave up training as a warrior to pursue the life of a medicine cat. If you're purely clan cat and obey the warrior code, she'll be one of the sweetest cats you ever meet. If you're not, well then good luck, you'll need it. She's extremely skilled, but her pride can keep her from asking for help when it's most needed.

Once a kittypet running from what was a tormented past is now a medicine cat. She grew up in a house never to be let out. One day a tree fell out side her window the branch broke in the window giving her the chance at a new life. She had come so far and Littlecloud had unforeseen her in a dream. She was brought in as an apprentice only to move to medicine cat with the death of littlecloud. Sadly though She is shy and basically a push over...unless it comes to medicines and making the clan better. Her own self though... she isnt as protective of.

Starpelt started her apprenticeship as an apprentice to a warrior. When she became a warrior the life of the Medicine cat had attracted her therefore she started to train under Larksparrow's guidance. She has a special talent with herbs that came to her naturally but she still makes mistakes.
