*warning this may be very disturbing to read for any one who loves animals*
Ok i have never worn real fur. After my friends and i seen this video i don't think my friends will either.
In the video they show how they get fur some the animals to make different stuff. They start off by finding hurt animals in the wild and pick them up. They take them to laps, keep them in cages, and not treating what is wrong with them. Like one had a broken leg and the bone was sticking out and they just left it like that.
Then they show how they get the skin off of them. The take them and slam them into the ground broking their backs and skin them while they are still conscious. I can’t even bring myself to tell you what happens to them after that.
I find that just horrible.

People also breed and rear animals like mink specifically for their fur - they are kept in small cages all their lives and killed in a painful way e.g. electrocution to a sensitive area.
Then there's factory farming... and vivisection...
Systematic abuse of animals is an epidemic in our so-called civilised society.
People can end up wearing fur by accident thinking it to be fake. Supposedly 'fake' fur trim on jackets can turn out to be real if it's mislabelled or not labelled at all. I know someone who bought a toy for their cat and was very upset to find out it was made from real fur. It's best to avoid anything which looks like fur even if it says that it's fake.

I can always tell what it is by the feel. fake fur kinda has a fine thread like feel to it.

I can tell the difference from touching it too, but apparently not everyone can.
I would never wear fake fur anyway because I doubt that many people can tell by looking from a little distance that it's fake - so it promotes the idea that fur-wearing is acceptable or even fashionable.

That's terrible...I can never understand how people can do such things...people who have these types of jobs to skin animals, work at factory farms or slaughterhouses...etc. How can they live with themselves? cry

i know. i couldn't live with myeself if i did it, but my friends are like its a job and they need the money. I'm like so there many more jobs that doesn't hurt animals. Plus wearing real fur will always have a shine to it. Fake fur doesn't not even in the sunlight. That is how you tell the differense between who is wearing real fur and whos not.
