I has a question towards your off-key stone fragment!
Through my own quest thread, I had to be reminded several times that Essences are contradictions of nature; something that shouldn't be.
A singing stone, I'm certain, could be formed from nature under the right circumstances, or it could be formed by man. If it is the first, as it should be, how does it contradict itself? It is simply a stone that carries a tune, whether it is off-key or not. I'm not certain a tune being off key is enough of a contradiction, if that was what you were using it as, but it might be a good spring board. Keep thinking of how a singing stone might be able to do something that it shouldn't possibly be able to do.
Maybe talk? Or, actually, sing, not just whistle through the wind?
Having an Essence that would occasionally break out in song would be pretty funny.
I'm a little worried, though, too; while a singing stone hasn't been used before, even in concept threads that I'm aware of, there are about three stone Essences now, so you should try to make yours stand out as much as possible from these established ones; Rivner's Nocturne Rock, Iorek's Mimic Stone, and Zul's Lava-Ice Rock. There's also Pasha's Essence, which was a bottled voice/song.

Divine song - Perfection
My singing stone - The opposite. (Perhaps I should be explicit in its marred tone.) Also - this stone actually hums. No voice, nor wind moves wind into motion the stone isn't hollow to create a bell like ring, and this magical thing wasn't man made. Man made stuff isn't allowed if I'm remembering correctly.
I picked stone because earth can't really ... uh sing in my mind. Although I know we could do Gurgling Water from a Babbling Brook. 8D Or my mushroom concept I can dig back out and see what mischief we could wreak with that. The werewolf probably wouldn't fit with a mushroom theme though. Maybe a turtle. sweatdrop

I think Kyou said something before, like not worrying about whether or not the souls and Essences fit together, it's what true weirdness happens after their combined is what's important.
Ooh, I see, okay. You should probably be explicit about it in the description, yes; describe how the stone looks, that it hums on its own, but would it otherwise look like just any old stone? That would be good.
Yes, man-made things aren't allowed, I was just sorting through my thoughts with that comment, I was quite certain yours wasn't xD
Oohh~ gurgling water would be cute >w<
I liked the carnivorous mushroom, I think it might actually fit the werewolf a little better, but that's only because it's like "OMNOMNOM MEEAAAT".

I had a discussion with Kyou some time ago, concerning souls; human souls are off limits, due to a) it being murder when you capture their souls and b) it making a really boring Raevan. With that restriction, also comes others; zombies are a nono, as are vampires. This also means werewolves can't be used; maybe you should tone it down to a wolf?
And though I haven't fully read your Essence description, it's clearly moon related and inspired by a werewolf, so I would suggest going for either or and not combining the two.
A wolf soul with a moon Essence is pretty boring, honestly. I'd LOVE to see a canine Raevan, though, and in particularly a wolf, so don't be discouraged! My suggestion would be to think of a good Essence for a wolf soul, unrelated to the moon or werewolfy things, as well as a soul for the red moon Essence that is unrelated to a wolf and werewolfy things.

Just to point out in addition to Snoof's comment though, I know my friend RoChan had a quest (though idk if it's still valid, you would have to talk to her) with a moon essence and wolf soul. So please be careful about that > w< If it's a direction you want to go in though, you could ask Ro about it because she may no longer be working on her quest (sad but true)
