Our band doesn't really have any rivalries between sections, but we have rivalries with the school nearest our's. They just love to rub it in our faces that they got to go to Mid West in December. Well, this year, we're going to win and rub it in their faces!

In my band .. the biggest in southern california xD
The tubas hate clarinets clarinets hate tuba's ... Trumpets (my section) and the flutes hate each other ... but of course trumpets are the best so there all jealous .. Actually pretty much trumpets have a problem with nearly every section .. And also clarinets dont like flutes .. cos well there lazy ... an also FULTES CANNOT GET IN A DIAGONAL ... hello its soo easy lol .. .and yeah ... well ...
Were such a cool band anyways and big so lots of rivalries xD
Oh and everyone hates pit ... yeah kk

I always seem to be in the section that people hate. xP
In marching season I was in the pit, which doesn't suck, and everyone kept saying that I wasn't important to the music. ( During one of the football games I went home before our field show, everyone thought it sucked. I showed them. xD ) Now, in concert season, I'm playing baritone. Now, everyone thinks that the baritone sucks. xP The worst part is I'll be the only baritone this year, and next year. xP

Drumline v. Band Director, because he makes us play more than any other section in the band
Drumline v. Tubas, because we sit on their step in the band room.
Band v. Pit, because pit doesn't march. I give them credit though, their mallet parts are hard.

A rivalry in our band has to be between the Saxes and Low Brass, cause we are like WAYYYY louder than them, and the director is always like PLAY LOUDER LOW BRASS!!, and then they blame the saxes.
also between trumpets and saxes cause trumpets always get the melody in the music we play.

well i have friendly rivalrie between one of my fellow flute players on who will stay in first chair i won this year because i stayed in first chair the most and the longest times
and we also have a rivalrie between the trumpets no offense to other trumpets but the trumpets at our school r idiotic pervs who never shut up

trumpets vs. alto saxes
flutes vs. clarinets
percussion vs. the band
the band vs. "the left-overs"
(ie. the bari sax/me, the baritone, the bassoon, and the trombones)

Well, were all a family. There's no rivalries in my band, but the town a couple miles away our towns are rivals. It's rather sad, when we play then at football games we pull pranks on eachother, vandalizing school property, burning an A in their field. HAHA they deserved it. {The A Was from my school HAHA}

The Flute hates the Trumpets in our band.
The clarinets hate the Trumpets.
ANd the baritones pretty much have to be better than everybody else or they all get cranky.
The drumline and pit don't really care. They're pretty chilled out.

We have one major school rivalary. But we're light years better than them now.

Our band is whole, but allot of sections hate trumpets and the oboes.
