Grip of Death
Just in case some of you were interested, I have decided to think about donating my organs in case of my death.
My main concern was being sentient and experiencing pain while I was dying, not when I am sure to be dead.
I'm sure everyone has heard horror stories and myths about hospitals harvesting organs from patients who aren't fully dead. I just have a hard time thinking that the same people who are trying to save the life of the person needing the organ would be willing to kill someone else off to do so. If you're dying, their goal is to save you too. Sure little Timmy may have been suffering longer, but that doesn't make him more valuable than you.
But Litte Timmy is an innocent child, and that man consented to death when he drove drunk, so he HAS to donate his organs or it's MURDER!!!
Seriously though, you made me think of Spamalot. "I am not dead yet!"
