Well we already have Longest Battle, so why not one for shortest? I checked around and I didn't see another one like this, so I apologize if there is another post like this one.
ine was about two days ago, I was replaying FF9, and this boss appeared, he had the zombie aspect, but also a tree... It hit me, don't zombies die with life? And I had dagger use life... (at this point in the game it shocked me) a 40 something lv. 9000hp boss died with a one turn life...

shortest battle would have to be a 1st person
shooter game for me like halo...
multiplayer mode with good competiton
battles will end real quick...

Final battle in Rune Factory...
I powerleveled and reached Level 99...
He dealt about 3 damage to me with each hit,
while I was doing hundreds...
It was quite funny.

for anyone who has ever played earthbound, they'll know what I am talking about. The green worm in the desert between twoson and... I can't remember the name of the city... but you go through the tunnel hit the desert and if you chase the green worm the battle is litterally split second because you attack from behind and get first hit and if you can hit for anything higher than ten you win. And in Earthbound it doesn't bother taking you to a battle screen if you win in the first attack. so the screen just flashes you won and gives you like 2000exp! biggrin I love those green worms.. they are so rare.. and usually run you into a bunch of baddies that will kick your butt!

that tree in FF9 is probably the easiest boss there ever was. XD
the final boss of FF10 was also wimpy... I think he was vulnerable to Zombie. zombie + full life= pwnd. sorriest excuse for a final boss ever.

This might not count but all of my real short battles happen in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Other than in that game my battles do go really fast, they're about medium.

my shortest battle was in guitar hero, playing agaisnt my little bro. i was on hard, and he was on easy, and we were in battle mode, and i beat him in like 30 seconds. hes not so good, but i dont say that out loud.

The shortest boss battle I ever had was the boss from the water temple in Legend of Zelda Twilight princess.
actually all the boss battles in that went surprisingly quick. I was a little bit disapointed.

Rulin' ya universes...
The miniboss in the forest temple of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Took like 30 seconds to beat... but I still freaked out. That plant thing was freaky.^^;;
