My anger management technique (which others may find helpful):

Focus on your anger. If this means you get more angry, then go with it. Focus on what you are angry about, and why. Let your anger run its course, and try to find the root source/cause of your anger.

Chances are, it'll be something stupid. Once identified as a retarded reason to be upset, it'll be easier to avoid the frustration in the future.

If it is not something silly, and is a problem (or will be a chronic problem), start to brainstorm methods of how to fix it.

Anger is natural, and should be embraced as part of the human experience. You limit yourself and your ability to enjoy what the material life has when you attempt to shut down one of your feelings.

Use your anger to accomplish the solutions you have created.

All that aside:

Plato and a platypus walk into a bar.
The bartender looks quizically at the philosopher
and Plato says "She looked better in the cave."

Yeah, I think it's time for me to take a little break from the guild. Or, well, from many things, including but not limited to the guild. When people start trying to give you "helpful hints" for dealing with anger, that's when you know something's gone a little wrong. I just need to remove myself from the situation and take a step back.

It might be for a week or a month or...I don't know. I'll probably lurk around, I'm just not going to participate. I don't think I could go more than a few days without knowing what you guys were up to.

Have fun, kids.

Most of the the things brought up in this guild predate the time I've been a member, so I abstain from most of the conversation. Half the posts I type I don't post since I figure the relevant parts will be mentioned by someone else shortly. Other then that, I don't feel like talking out my a** and inflicting myself upon the masses (so to speak) as much as I could. I usually have a day or three inbetween when I log on, so thats just a bit more disassociation on my part.

As far as the voting threads on membership, or banning, I've been a part of a few in different guilds, even started a few. My experiences have all been unimpressive at best, though I think with the crew of this guild I don't think my disinclinations is as founded as they could be. I know I forgot to mention a few things... anyways, having a poll-thread on every possible member may be a bit much, and someone seeing theres a thread about letting them in or not would be interesting, but I don't think the idea is bad.

You know that talking out your a** part? It's called the rest of what we do here. You're smart as s**t. Please, please, post more. I mean, 75% of what I say is total irrelevant jokes/comments on one insignificant part of a post that I notice. I suck at this sometimes. As for threads like voting or protesting and stuff, I'd love to see them. If anyone else got pissed because they got made, I'd probably go chat with them. I have one rule for wanting to ban people (Extrapolated from guild rules on conduct and respect) Rule A: Member is an inconsiderate super douche. = B&.

You know what, at sight of Choco popping up in this topic (like, a page ago.) made me freaking MAD. I'm not going to rant, but really, I suggest that the guild pay attention to things like that, but seeing as my grandmother (most of you know that was my last relative that did magic(k)) taught me not to linger in the past too long, I shall not rant, except when you guys started to make fun of him, even after I posted and completely ignored my post, I about quit; all I have to say is: That was completely cruel. I beleived (and still do beleive) he was telling the truth. You people say you respect individual's posts!?! Yeah right. Just simpley yeah right. (Sarcasm) scream
Now, I am going to get over this, well I am, but I just went on alittle rampae there.

But, here is my rant about you're fighting;

SHUTTUP, PLEASE! Get over the b&ed and all the b&s you have made in the past. You're like a bunch of four year olds fighting about something that happened a week ago, except with cursing and big vocabulary. It is getting on my NERVES. You guys turned a simple "I'm leaving, here is my guild" board, into a completely over-ranted annoying board!! Here is what I have to say " GET OVER IT!!!!"

I have to say; I am not mad at DrasBrisinger, I beleive she made a completely mature post. But, for the rest of you, it's starting to get annoying. That was all in the past, as my grandmother once said; "Do not linger in the past for too long, or it may lead to diffuculties in life." I suggest you take that and shove it into your brains, if you actually have any.

I admit, I was alittle harsh on that post, but please get over it. (Note; I spent a few minutes thinking this over, and came back and wrote this. <3)

Guess I mised something.

: / Either way, I think guild drama is a waste of time.

@aki7- I wasn't around before anything to do with choco happened. And as a matter of fact, I don't recall much except that he suddenly stopped posting at some point when I was away for several days on end. Barring that, I figure 'I'm leaving threads/posts" aren't bad, but I don't like seeing them in the main forum.

@Josh- If I post more, I'll lose my dork-mystique of mysterious-dorkness. I could look for the threads that should still be around, but then I'd be involving people (this guild) in past issues, and some would be a he-said/she-said thing for still active members. Both aspects are not appealing in any kind of constructive sense.

I was only saying what worked for me 'cause all the cool kids were doing it, and I wanted to be a cool kid too.

Dras doesn't need my advice, I merely post for the sake of posting. Like Dorian, half the replies I type never actually get posted...
