well, i rsonlly study rock and like it very much. metal is one of my favourites and if you want me to pick a favourite band, it's kinda hard. i like deep purple much but it's not a most. well, i personaly love the styles of Steve Vai's and i use his ideas and combine some of mine and make some little solo licks to play for fun.

i'm a drummer favorite bands: Metallica, Tenacious D, Live, AC/DC, Weezer, The Main Event, Megadeath, Pearl Jam, Breaking Benjamin, Pink Floyd, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Nirvana...ect. most people don't know "The Main Event" likely that's because their a local band in my city, so i'll post a link to their only music video in case you want to listen to what they sound like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vk20Xo6DzW0

Hmmm Its impossible to choose a 'best band ever' due to peoples different tastes. All music is good it's just other people having a problem with it and I'm not being a hypocrite because i can admit i HATE a few bands and artist but thats my problem. I play guitar so I quit like more 'riffy' (???) stuff and music that is less dependant on the other element of the band (because I'm GHEY I know) xd 3nodding 4laugh
