WHAT THE HECK!!!! Not just one person wanted to avenge their dead or threatened family member. Do you seriously think that it's him going over their for his DAD?!? He didn't freak out about it when his dad was threatened the first time. It's very agitating how you view this.

We did try and find him. We were really close at one point to. We ended up by chance finding a guy in a whole. Would you rather us set him free and let him continue with his plans. I don't understand why you are mad that we captured another man that also threatened our country.

Because He wasn't who we were after... and by eliminating him we ensured the fact that we will never be able to get out of the middle east...

What do you mean insuring we wont get out. Oh and I heard the count of those lost in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was something around 13 thousand. I got it from the news and I know they aren't reliable but I'm going to place their number in the blank. It's sad we've lost that many but that is the amount that we've lost during the entire period we've been in Iraq.

I find this all very sad to be honest. I am going to bootcamp soon for the Army, No I do not agree with war. But if you really sit back and look at it, we are not at war at all Infact we are just keeping people safe and helping a government. Inturn we are doing nothing but what we do here. There is nothing wrong with that.
And when it comes down to the next president, I am rather nuetral. As long as they try thier best, to do what is best, Then I am rather happy with it. I'm sorry for anyone you disagrees with me, But this is purely my opinion. I will stand by this country, and who ever is leading it. Because in my heart that is the best thing to do.

I agree with you in what you say about the war, but I know that some of the candidates are suggesting would basically destroy all of our economy.

SongsOfTheEnchantedHeart I agree with you in what you say about the war, but I know that some of the candidates are suggesting would basically destroy all of our economy. The presidents, past-present-future, do not hold the ecomomy in their hands. It is the people in this country. Sociaty here needs to realize, that to understand this: "The need to keep up with the Jones's (ie your neighbor) or the Need for Greed" has and always will be the downfall of human kind. The need for bigger and better isn't always something that really needs to be. If everyone just was happy with the things that life hands us, then the economy will not need to grow to the Global level that it has. Be happy with nature, make you own, build your own.. Ownership of material things means that you loose one's self. And to loose one's self is to loose site of reality. A quote from my Mom... That is all I have to say about that.

I don't know how accurate that number is but it is sad... and what I meant by ensuring we wont get out was basically by destroying their previous for of government we basically signed up for a full time baby sitting position over there... We'll never be able to withdraw without repercussions. No I'm not saying that we should have just let him be, what I am saying is we should have first completed our objective, then ran it through the democratic process (like we're supposed to do) and if//when we got approval we should have taken on sadam...

To address Moonday, I understand that the president can't make something like that happen. But the things he's offereing to bring to congress are what people are voting for him on. They just want a guy with the same morals as themselvs. Whether the job gets done or not is something people don't care about. So when I was saying that I was viewing it as . . . the masses would. I know that a lot of the things he said would never happen but even so thats what he says he's going to try and do and I wouldn't want that to happen. (whew that's a lot of babbaling)
That would take to long. I know we now have a job of babysitting but I think it's better than not taking action at all. And if you look at whats happening you'll see that since weve entered Iraq we have not had a single terrorist attack. Meaning the U.S. I think that says something about what weve done.

It has been going on that way over there FOR A REALLY LONG TIME! there's no reason we couldn't have voted on it... aside from the fact that IT WOULDN'T have passed... SongsOfTheEnchantedHeart I know we now have a job of babysitting but I think it's better than not taking action at all. They Don't need to attack, We as a nation have never had a Higher disapproval rate of a president. We're doing their job for them. We're turning against ourselves and destroying ourselves from the inside out...

And in reality we aren't tearing ourselves up inside. Most people are having hullablue over the new president race. No one gives a whoot about what's going on with Bush now.
