IT was pretty... well, shocking >.>
I was told to read it after I told a friend how terrified I was of clowns and spiders. stare I still have yet to beat him to a pulp. gonk
Anyways, about the book? I thought it was terrific. I love how in so many of his books, there's a little mention of that town (I can't remember the name currently). I recall in The Talisman, that there's a scene where they are driving a sign that says 'Pennywise Still Lives' or something to that sort, which really creeps them out... or something like that. It's the little things that really excite me when reading whee
But yeah, the whole bit with Beverly, that was... well shocking to say the least. I was very much not expecting that. It was interesting though, I guess, if slightly disturbing. But nothing wrong with being a little bit disturbed domokun

I think that the book was better then the movie. The movie ended with a piece of silver being sling shot at a badly animated spider to kill it. The clown was the best part but not scary. Also, check out this guy's profile Penny vvise

I haven't really read the book. I saw bits and pieces of the movie when I was little and it scared the crap out of me. I hated clowns because of it until up to just the last few years. After I rewatched the movie I loved it. Pennywise is awesome. I've only seen the edited version of the movie that they show on tv though. That kinda sucks. I want to see the unedited version. One question though...What exactly is Pennywise?

Yeah, I finished the book a few weeks ago. Now I don't know what to do with myself. You never do after a thousand page book. I loved it. Never saw the movie. I'll watch it if it comes on HBO or something but it doesn't sound too good from what I'm hearing here.
I really liked the characterization and the ending. The ending I consider the last 200 pages. It passes between the adults and the children as they go through the sewer tunnels and confront It. It was certainly epic. All that mind travel and Turtles and Deadlights and Others.
But yeah it was a great book. The only part I didn't like was how in the actual end they begin to forget all about It and each other.
