Jelani snarled menacingly, taking his own motions forward. "Are you?" He almost whispered the come back, clenching his teeth just a little tighter around his scythe.

Seika chuckled a bit, her tail flicking with amusement. She had the same interest as he did in agitating others. "Am I cringing in fear?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "I thought not." She added, not waiting for an answer. She licked her canines, waiting for him to make the first move.

"You should be." He shot back. The battle would go on for ages, as Jelani was fighting to hold himself back, partially wanting to be able to say that he won the fight a female had started. The other part of him was hold back because he didn't want to hurt her. He liked her attitude, no matter the annoyance it caused him.

Seika chuckled. "But I'm not and that's really all that matters." She replied, her eyes gleaming. Her back legs tensed, waiting to counter whatever this male threw at her. Or was she going to be the one to make it?

Jelani was honestly getting tired of waiting, and the muscles up his back and legs tensed as he snarled. If she wasn't going to make the first move perhaps he'd actually have to do it. After another moment, waiting just a bit longer for her to make a move, he took it into his own paws and leaped with all his might, plowing towards her.

Seika reared up on her hind legs and butt heads with Jelani, their red horns making a loud, satisfying clatter as they clashed together. Her paws landed back on the ground, supporting her as she pushed forward to move Jelani back. "You underestimate us . . ." She said with a slight smirk tugging at the end of her lips.

Jelani faked a wince for a moment, then burst into a dark cackle. "I don't think I've underestimated anybody here." He growled around the scythe clutched in his jaws. In a swift move he swung his scythe so that the shaft hit her hard in the shoulder, careful the blade did no more that cut a few of her hairs in it's swing. He placed a paw on the opposite side of her, hoping that if she stumbled she'd fall.

Seika blinked as she watched the strands of her orange hair fall into the ash and dust they stood upon. Her shoulder was slightly sore from the impact of the shaft and she frowned. "Weapons are cheap . . ." She clamped her own jaws around his scythe, her teeth clenched the black wood just below the metal blade gleaming in the volcano light.

Jelani growled as she clamped her teeth around his scythe. "So are females." He managed to snarl with his mouth full. He swung hard, crashing her into a rock and pressing her there. "I'm going to teeth you a lesson about males." He shifted towards her, pinner his with his body now. "And why we're stronger."
