peace_love_jello BedlamUrchin Delacroix_Ghost <33 Yes! That's what I was thinking when I was watching it! That scene was incredible. To me, it was actually less disgusting than Pirelli's death. Pirelli was leaking cerebral fluid out his nose. Did you see the yellow-y stuff? Woah, I think I missed that...! Well, I'll get the DVD. ^^ I was overall pretty happy with the movie, but I really wish they kept the Ballad of Sweeney Todd in. It seems like the opening instrumental music is mocking me. I was blown away by the kid playing Toby. He was just so great, his singing was a lot stronger than Helena Bonham Carter's at points. And he was just so freakin adorable. O___O Woah. I need to pause that scene when I get it on DVD and go through it still by still. XDD Fun.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It's like, so close to the song, yet so far. Besides, I think they had to cut out the parts of the "ghost narrators" who were meant to sing that for some reason or another... >>;
I loved that kid. <3 He was ACTUALLY A KID, you know? Instead of the Broadway!Toby, who's usually some 30 year-old. >>; And I loved his voice.

I really loved the movie. I definatly wasn't expecting Sasha Baron Cohen to be so amazing! I LOOOVED Toby, too. He's so freakin' adorable! I was disappointed that "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd" was cut. I also thought that "A Little Priest" was....blah. They cut out akll the best jokes! I also didn't like how Johanna had only one measley song, especially because I really liked her voice. It was a fantastic movie, but I always prefer live theatre to movies, so I naturally like the musical better.
The sheer amount of tight-pants clad men was enough to disturb anyone

Oh gawd. The movie is so amazing. XD
I think Johnny and Helena were quite good in the parts of Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett, and oh man, Ed Sanders? He was so incredibly talented! (And cute to boot!)
I wish I could see the movie again before it's out of theaters...but I guess I can wait for the DVD. I have the George Hearn and Angela Lansbury DVD performance of Sweeney Todd, so that will totally hold me over until April. : x
(Oh snap, I wish that the movie had the scene at the end where Toby appears all crazy and stuff before he killed Sweeney...that would have been epic.)>><< Welcome to the grave...

Gosh this movie was so funny! Especially Alan Rickman, I love him. haha. No seriously "I'm just going to marry my 16yr old adopted daughter and molest her!" xD I was cracking up the whole movie.
Johnny Depp = AMAZING!!! heart
I do miss the Ballad of Sweeny Todd. (The singing part anyway) But I don't really see where they would have fit it into the movie without it looking cheesy. Seriously.
He shaved the faces of Gentlemen, Who never thereafter where heard of again.

i'm just generally Depp-obsessed. it's funny, cause i got like........i dunno.....let's see, Tristian, Kenny, Eddie, Gabe and perhaps Michael hooked on it. all of us kind of pass in the hallway and i say, "no, there was hardly ANY blood!!"
....yea, im getting side-tracked. oh, yea. sexy a** Sweeney in his bathing suit? *purr* well, the first time i saw it, i was in the company of my mom and sister, so i just turned bright red from trying to contain my laughter. i always end up squeeing anyway...
once, when i lent my cousin (whom i see only at school) my dvd for four days, and i swear to God, i experienced withdrawal symptoms. thankfully, now i have the 2-disc (*squee*) and i need to be without my heroin for any period of time! yay!!! (*SO doesnt have Sweeney poster and book, dvd under pillow*)

God I'm going to get murdered for this but....I personally got very pissed at the movie. I love Johny Depp and the women who played Mrs. Lovlett but they just don't have the voices for it. Depp's voice is to rocky and she sang to pretty. Mrs. Lovlett isn't supossed to sound pretty. Maybe its because I was brought up on the origional actors from the broadway. I give all my respect to the director for doing it so beautifully but personally, I think he should have picked actuall stage performors for the main parts. The only ones I like better was Allan Rickman as the Judge and Johanna. Oh and Beatle. But the thing is Rickman has stage experiance and you can tell by the way he acts compared to those who don't and I liked it. I do like it that they all actually sung instead of having someone else do the singing which i think is completely and totally retarded. Now back to strengthen my thing with Depp, I've seen Sweeney Todd stage three times. Once when my mother was in it (played Mrs. Lovelett) the recording of the orrigional (yay Angela Lansberry) and once in the Buel Theatre in Denver. Now admitally the man who did it in the amature production (one my mother was in) was not as good as the two others, he had more strength and emotion in his voice then Depp. Also the last time I saw it the man who played Todd almost made me cry when he sung 'And my Lucy lys in ashes' he just had so much beauty and belt and strengh in his voice. And the woman who played Mrs. Loveltt was...amazing! The strengh of her voice and the way she capivated the audiance was something that the wonam who played her in the movie did not achieve (I do feel very stupid for forgetting her name when I love her in Harry Potter). Now don't get me wrong, all those in the movie were terrific actors and I give them respect and adoration for trying something they were not used to, and I believe that it was quite good and will be on my favorites for a while, I just will always love my recording of the origional better and my memories of seeing it on stage. That is all, you can comince with wanting to murder me now.
