So, what's everyone think of this year's event so far? It's a nice change of considered how hectic battling aliens and vampires and throwing water balloons was. I find I'm doing this one just to read some of the funny stuf the orphan NPC's are saying

I like it so far. xd I think the items you give the orphans are funny. The items themselves thusfar haven't been amazingly cool in my opinion, but hey...they're orphans!

The first one was a scarf. Pretty good event though. Kinda brings back the feel of christmas, y'know. Actually giving money and things to those in need. I wonder how Gilbert's doing... crying

I like it. As someone griped on the gripe board, it would have been nice to have the gifts wrapped, but that's a small detail. The items from the orphans were pretty shabby, huh? Silly orphans. I like my heart though. I was surprised how many people seemed to become attached to their orphans.

The items aren't incredible, but I love this style of event, not having to rely on other gaians to get items, and always knowing exactly where you're at.

I really like this event, because I could take it at my own pace and not feel like I had to rush around and find the right thread, or someone who hasn't been hit yet, or wait and wait to throw snowballs again... this way, I can be working caroling in the shops while simultaneously leveling up my orphan. It seems to take significant strain off of the servers too, with people not posting like crazy in forums as part of the game. There were 117,000 people online and the site was mostly running fine.
The only gripe I have is that everything I had to buy for the orphans cost a lot of gold... 20g might not seem like much, but it adds up! I lost about 1000g on the deal. I think the things we had to buy should have been under 6g. Somehow my mule has actually made money on it though, about 500g, but I'm not finished yet.
My computer is still dead but I wanted to wish everyone Merry Christmas! biggrin

I love it it's better than all the other events I participated...and they are the best and the silliest orphans. Although some are not the best items, but every events always has a good and bad items anyway.

I liked that wardriving work I was able to complete the event in one night- woot.
I like this much better than the Halloween event because it isn't time consuming. I love Gaia's fun events, but this is also a busy time of the year, one in which the computer becomes a non-priority to me.
