Saint Angel 07 Violent_Irony Saint: Okay, listen. I don't really have much of any problem with the cussing rules. Whatever. That doesn't matter to me. What matters is the amount of topics that were locked for being spammed. What matters is that every active topic was locked. What matters is is that I have to go to another thread in order to ask someone, "So, how was your day?" That bothers me.
Ok then, I will ease up on the locking of thread and spam notices.
but, I would like everyone to agree on a limit of off topic-ness.
I wont be as a spam-nazi as I was,
that obviously didnt fix the problem
*points to flipsides post...*
And this is where I would like help on setting the limit.
but do you at least agree to setting a limit?
I don't agree to setting a limit. This guild was doing just fine without any limits on spam. I would like to remind you at this point that I have more than four years experience moderating and running guilds, and I know what I'm talking about. If you want to encourage people to be more active, hold a contest of some kind. Post referrals on the other Christian guilds. Do recruits off the Guilds forums. Remember, you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Retermined That's what I meant by 'no longer seen as'. Today, the words have been used as a way to cover up other words, yet they are still bad, no matter what they're being used for. It is what the original meanings are that make them bad. Except for the 'a' word. That has always meant donkey. You don't get it, do you? Those ARE the original meanings. Now they are simply considered obscene, even if ... I'm wasting my time, aren't I? Never mind. No, I don't agree to there being a limit. We were doing quite well, and the guild was active, until you decided that the spam is an issue. It never was before.

The spam was rule was never an issue because there were no mods
And I haven enforced my spam limit, as you notice with the other threads
but, if it goes too far off, I will say some thing.
But I wont lock them again.
Deal?

But I wont lock them again. Deal? Fine with me. I was kind of doing the same in some of my threads once in a while when there was actually something to debate on and discuss, but locking them was a bit extreme in my opinion. So, deal. Drop in, say its being spammed so kindly get back on topic or whatever, and I won't mind. That was already happening before you were here anyways.

Retermined Which is why Saint blocks those words. It offends people when those words are used, so it is blocked. And sorry, forgot to add the b word to the list of ones that have always meant what they mean now. How is b***h offensive. It's referring to a dog. All you have to say is "Last I checked I'm not a dog". Seriously...people these days... Anyways with a lot of words have old meanings and a lot of them are in the dictionary last I checked. And the F-word used to be something the olden day Christians put on peoples grave stones and house if they committed adultry. For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge
Cursing doesn't bug me at all. I honestly don't care and it's not offensive. If you think its offensive then you don't have a backbone but that's just me...*shrugs*

Rai,
That word is unacceptable in this guild. That is my final word.
If that is your thinking, then 'put up or shut up'.
Post proof of that claim or dont post it.

Besides I was just pointing out that it is an acronym or was used as such. Apparently wiki says it's "netlore" or an "urban legend" or whatever but in the past day Wiki has become unreliable. Then again I only use it for info on anime, video games, and music...Course I heard it from my dad....but whatever. But who cares. People are going to learn it and use it and censorship never works...but whatever...

This is backed up by the German term fukken, "to penetrate". Why do you dislike ****, but allow fornicate? Of the two, fornicate is the only one that is consistently sexual.

Ok, I have made an executive decision.
That word, is hereby forbidden in this guild. It isnt proper, it isnt something we as Christians should be adhering to, or saying.
This is one of the very few words that truly upset me, so this is my final saying on this, im sorry but, this is not up for discussion.

This should really be enough for everyone, the fact he doesn't like it should be enough, I mean be civil, you wouldn't use that language around an old person if they asked you to stop, or anyone if they asked you to stop.
