Tear the whole engine apart. Get a crankshaft with a longer stroke, but make sure it doesn't have too much gain, or else your pistons will end up ruining your spark plugs or heads. At TDC, you need to make sure your pistons do no come into contact with your heads or plugs. That's basically it really.

Well, the easiest way would be to buy a stroker kit from Summit Racing or EngineKits.com and pay your local machine shop to balance and do all the fine tuning of the rotating assembly. What the other guy was talking about with finding the crank with the longer stroke is true. I believe that the chevy 400 crank + the chevy 350 block + 327 rods pistons = chevy 383 stroker. IM NOT 100% SURE ABOUT THAT but i know that a crank from another motor put in a 350 block = 383. But finding used cranks with the correct journal size to match the correct rods and pistons IN USABLE SHAPE would be a big challenge probly cost more than the stroker kit. Kits will need balanced and machine work, but I believe a good stroker kit combined with a strong 2 or 4 bolt block will be a stronger foundation for nitrous or forced injection. I hope something here helps, good luck!
