- The Dying Messiah - I have to say that everyone has a soul-mate, but not everyone will find them in one lifetime or another. And also I beleive that soul-mates don't HAVE to be lovers, but can also just be friends who understand eachother perfectly to the point that they may as well be the same person at times. I do believe in true love as well, but not love at first sight. @bold... in that light, I think a soul-mate is a possibility. and if that's the case, I found mine many years ago back in 2nd grade. we grew up together, and tho we live in different states for the last 10 years (a good 850 miles apart) we are still close enough to be soul-siblings. people say we look a like, we can finish eachothers sentences. I dont know what I'd do if anything happened to her.

Soul mates.......... Holy description: When two persons love each other really big , their souls kinda "fuse togheter". As in original wedding ceremony monologue of the priest : Do you take this woman to death for the rest of your life? ""yes i do" that means stay togheter forever , you cant breakup so , i guess its a RELIGION THING FOR SOME REASONS. I personaly , never found mine guess its me lol

I think that everyone does have a soul mate, because why else would anyone try look for some one that they have no idea at what they look like. It's like trying to find the other half of something that you had lost and have no idea where to look.

Its hard to believe in the meaning "soul mates" because it means that there is someone out there that is perfect for u. i believe that ppl do have soul mates and that yes we all meet them... but we may never kno that its them... and they could just be someone uve seen on the street and just missed ur chance for... although i myself also find my own words about this hard to believe... so im kind of on both sides

I do believe in true love as well, but not love at first sight. well going by the friends thing, yeah, I guess I have actually found that person. but as for love, I believe in a strong feeling for those close to you(family, friends, etc) and I believe in lust (if that lust is returned, then it is what is considered "love at first sight") but not necissarilly love as a whole........

i think that there are some people who are exactly like you in every way (except for DNA and whether they are opposite sex) but maybe that person isn't right for you. maybe they are just not what you would expect in a "soul mate". like maybe they are Japanese and you don't speak there language at all and you never really liked Japanese culture or food. That would be hard to get used to...

Personally I believe that a person is Preordained by God to be the one you marry(Unless He wants you to be single). However I don't think that a person has a "soul mate". Love is meant to be at its highest during marriage not before. I believe that Love has to be worked at and fought for. true love Will never come easy. Just my 2 Cents. Thanks for listening!

I think it's entirely possible that there is such a thing as a soul mate, but it sounds more like some over-romanticized ideal that doesn't actually suit reality.
I think that it's best to look for the person that can make you happy - the person whose s**t you can deal with and still want to talk to later that day - than to spend your energy looking for THE ONE. The idea of a soul mate makes people think that there's someone out there that they would never disagree with, or have any manner of problems to deal with as a couple, and that life would be a peachy, rosy, fluffy, happy, blissful dream.
Oh, and you'll probably be well-to-do in terms of wealth, and you'd live in the dream home you always imagined, have perfectly wonderful children [if that's your bag],
and you'll even get on great with the neighbours.
That's crap.
THE ONE is such a cop out, if you think about it: it means that you don't actually have to compromise or deal with humanity as it is. People can suck, and will suck, and will do so on a fairly regular basis. You have to learn to cope and compromise and move on.

I think that there is someone out there that you would and should be with. It's just a matter of finding them. I mean, you always think that there is that person out there, but some people expect to just have that person show up out of the blue. I think that you have to make an effort to find that person. That would prove that you actually want to find that person.
