I think that paganism has come a long way and I think that Silver is doing what she can to give a modern approach to what we do. i think that her ultimate goal may have been to reach out to the new generation in an attempt to make sure that our history and theories don't die out in a Christian world. I think that she adds a bit too much fluff, but at lease she gets the kiddies reading again. AND>>>> she is a big enough name that parents can look her up on line and eventually we can dispel the roumors that we sacrafice virgins, kittens, children, whathaveyou. All in all I think she has a very good understanding of what she is talking about. Not 100%, but hey, to each their own.

There's some of the best books at www.isis.com Ravenwolf is only out for the fame and the money. She's too new age and tends to teach her own opinion and not the true way of the craft. She's too influenced by her husband, who is a very dark person.

I read . . . ALOT. . . ok let's face it, I pretty much read everything none to man. Needless to say out of curiosity I have picked up a few book by Silver RavenFluff ::cough:: just to see what all the fuss was about. ::shakes head:: oh dear god . . . no . . . just . . . no. I'm sorry to say, for anyone out there that might be attatched to her. Her books are uber fluffy. And yes, I know, a lot of New Ager's don't like to hear the term Fluffy. But you know what, it applies to her. She preaches light and goodness, and then condemns christianity. ::continues to shake head:: If you must learn from someone, try Scott Cunningham at least; or D.J. Conway. They know what their talking bout at least half the time. And as for her "TEEN WITCH" books ((not offending anyone who likes them. I just dislike her) I'm sorry, but there's more to life than casting spells for "a boyfriend" and "Homework" . . . there's just more to life than that. I mean, yes, I'll admit I've cast the occasional concentration spell. But . . . ::sigh:: sorry, I just don't think very highly of love spells; too over played.
sweatdrop Alright, that's my rant. Sorry; dont' care much for SilverRavenFluffBunnie -_-; Someone else had put it bluntly that she's in it for the money, and I definately dont' doubt that.

James Addiction The only book I have that Silver Ravenwolf wrote is 'Teen Witch' sweatdrop . I hope I can get some more sometime in the near future (you know...when I'm not broke xp ) A friend of mine brought that to school today (it was her sister's really). I read only a few sentences and that was enough for me. stare

Well, Silver Ravenwolf does have a bad reputation, but I've only read her "American Folk Magick" book and it was pretty good.
I've been in the craft long enough to be interested in books that a new or young person wouldn't be - stuff more related to craft elders and advanced topics.
