So last night for dinner, for the first time, I had snails. Definitely one of the odder things I've eaten. You removed the little door on the snail then used a tooth pick to get the snail out. Sometimes that didn't work so Ryan showed me how to such it out. My hickey skills have improved. xD Okay, so it sounds gross but really they weren't too bad. Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning, I felt horrible. I figured the feeling was related to anxiety about going to work but it didn't go away during the day. I felt bad earlier enough so that I called off tomorrow. I just couldn't work for 12 long hours. I wonder if the snails made me sick. Has anyone else ever tried them? What's the oddest thing you've eaten, in your opinion?

i once worked in the kitchen of a fancy-smancy resort hotel, on occasion there were leftover snails. i thought they were mighty tasty, so i overindulged. they did make for a wonderful intestinal flush, and after all these years, i can still recall the peculiar picant aroma that came with it.
so, yeah, i'ma thinking those lil' slugs could've certainly made ya sick!!! mrgreen

also, i once tried a strange fried cactus thing. not sure how to describe that one. and i was once offered mountain lion meat, eating cat, well that is just wrong. i know it is a delicacy for some, but to me it will always be wrong. that is right up there with eating horse meat. wrong.
