Purin felt a bit relieved when Zest came and joined her at her side, though she couldn't really exaplin the reasoning to the small child without perhaps instilling some sort of fear inside of her.

So maybe she just had to think of a good reason for doing what she was doing, and saying what she was saying. A reason that didn't really involve anything that would send the child into a possible state of panic.

< Nothing is wrong with you, Li'tae. We just cannot play with you right now. Perhaps when you're feeling better. >

Purin laid in her words the hint of what she thought was wrong with Li'tae, what the twins had told her was wrong with him, but she didn't push any further.

< You do not want to bother someone not feeling well, do you Zest? >

Smiling in amusement at the child hacker's words, Li'tae found himself surprised. Not that she was quoting her human, but that her actions indicated that she wholly believed it. The child Purin was so much like Adalia on her childish days, that Li'tae found himself feeling bad for having interrupted her play time. Tempted to just excuse himself, so that the child wouldn't be sad, he rolled his eyes when she mentioned that he was a boy, but that aside from that he wasn't too bad. The elder hacker's words; however, made him firmly decide to stay.

If she wanted to play, he could certainly play.

Not entirely sure just what this other hacker thought she had heard, or where she had heard it from, Li'tae had quite a few choice words he could think of to snap at her. Glancing down at the child, he bit his tongue. Had Trisste not been having such a calming effect on him, he likely would have snapped the other hacker's head off then and there. But, Trisste had taught him that others' feelings ought to be considered, and that darned child reminded him too much of Adalia. On her good days.

Sighing at the hint of him being infected with something, as he was sure she was clearly indicating, his anger flashed across his face. Aside from what Chesire had done to them all he was perfectly fine. Blue eyes turned to ice as he glowered at the other hacker.

Though there may be something wrong with you as soon as this child leaves, at this rate.

As the elders fail to get along, Zest grows visually frustrated with them. Her little eyes narrow, mouth puckering up tight as she glares toward Purin and then toward Li'tae. The elders were about to taste the sour side of the little lemonhead. Zest steps back from Purin, though not toward Li'tae, so that she's approximately the same distance from either of them. Her little arms reach up to her face to pull her cheeks down as she sticks her tongue out at them both. The rude gesture accomplished, she huffs a little bit before saying,

As suddenly as the frustration and anger had seemed to overtake her, sadness now sets in. She begins to pout, little tears forming at the sides of her eyes. Of course, she had no need to cry, but she'd seen humans do it and so she emulated the graphics. With a pout, she says, Zest pauses, looking down as if scanning for the proper words to use. Finally, she blurts,

With that, Zest buries her face in her arms, plopping down to the ground to just sit and cry. She honestly didn't know if hackers were supposed to cry or not, but humans did it and she'd seen it first hand. Even if they didn't understand the emotional reactions she was emulating to match how she "felt," her displeasure with them remains easily discernible.

Purin couldn't help by take a step or two back at the sudden swing of emotions from the child Hacker, her eyes wide at the different moods that played out in only a manner of moments. It was like the child was on a bad recording, one that skipped from here to there rather quickly, and she was taken aback by such sudden changes.

She'd never seen anyone get so emotional before, not even KX or the people he worked with, so it actually caught her more off guard than anything else. She didn't know what to say or what to do, so instead of acting Purin stood there looking rather...dumb.

< .. .. ..Zest . .. . >

When she could think of anything to say it was only the child's name, and her gaze moved from the sobbing frame up to Li'tae with a bit of an apologetic look about her features. If the child's sorrow was because of her, she supposed she should 'feel' a bit bad about it and take responsibility.

It would be the right thing to do, and she knew that KX would want it to be that was.

< I'm sorry Zest, for sounding so stubborn. And I'm sorry to you, Li'tae, for my behavior. It's only because I must have received some false information about you and jumped to conclusions. >

Wincing as the child hacker's face grows into one Li'tae has become most familiar with, he sighs. Rolling his eyes in exasperation as Zest sticks her tongue out at him. Wondering if all kids behaved that way, or just Adalia and Zest. Glowering over at the child, wanting to snap at her, but not quite able to bring himself to do so, Li'tae folds his arms across his chest. Settling for simply glowering at the child as she lectures the adults. It certainly wasn't his fault Purin had reacted to him so badly.

All the mean words he'd been thinking at the youth as she began to cry. Oh, how evil this child was! And the pout! What a formidable weapon she was using. Vaguely, Li'tae found himself wondering if Adalia had taught her that particular trick or if she'd picked it up off some webisode somewhere. An evil grin lit his face as he realized that not only did this hacker know Adalia, but apparently knew Adalia's new boy toy. Oh, how interesting! Making a note of it to drop the hint to Fiach and let him have some fun, Li'tae schooled his face back into a suitable look of regret. Or, as close as the hacker could come to it.

Noticing Purin's steps backwards, Li'tae takes a few steps forward. Now that Purin wasn't hovering annoyingly close, he didn't feel awkward stepping in. Though he felt bizarre comforting a hacker other than Trisste, and not entirely sure how to do so in the first place, he knelt next to the youth before patting her on the shoulder.

Giving a small shrug to the other elder's words, confusion touched his face as he wondered just WHO would give this person bad intel on him. He hadn't ticked THAT many people off recently that he knew of.

His eyes narrowing a little before he continued in a sterner voice.

It irked him to no ends that someone was lying about him to other hackers, and he resolved to not only discover who it was and why - but to teach them a lesson about talking bad about him like that.

Zest listens to them, smirking as her face is buried. It's not like she's evil, but she knows what she's doing. After all, she got them to set aside their differences for her sake. Being mischievous for the greater good! With her noble goal in sight, she can't stop yet. She sobs a bit more before looking up as she feels Li'tae's touch upon her shoulder. Zest still pouts a bit, rubbing at her eyes. Her emulation flawless, perhaps she could act... if she were only a human girl. With a few sniffles, she asks,

A nice thought, but obviously she had been mistaken. Either Li'tae was bad, or somebody bad was spreading lies. Still, Zest's face appears trusting toward Li'tae, a sad smile forming as she looks up to him to show that she must think the latter of the two scenarios.

She turns her attention to Purin, rubbing at one eye still as she requests,

Purin happened to catch the tail end of what Zest and Li'tae had been saying as a message was pinged into her mind, a message from two very familiar people that were very far off.

It was a simple message, one that only contained one word, and Purin's face turned from his look of unease to one of deep thought. Should she obey this message from the Twins she trusted, or stay here and try to figure things out? It was difficult for her to decide, and she simply looked at the pair before her, not speaking.

< .. . .... >

It wouldn't be hard for anyone to notice the change in her actions or expression, not hard at all...

Frowning at the pout Zest offers them, Li'tae sighs. Maybe he shouldn't be so hard on Fiach after all. Handling people who were emotional was a lot more trying than he'd anticipated! Not quite sure what to say when the kid asks him about bad hackers, Li'tae wonders if she understands that they were data created to mimic human behavior. Did any of the hackers really understand their existence? He was lucky, he'd been one of the first and had gotten to talk to the originals. Though sometimes, he wasn't entirely certain he was lucky to have that knowledge...

Smiling down at the child hacker, he finally settled to tell her. At least part of it.

Pausing with a small frown, he remembered one of the few good things that Fiach had ever told him. Glancing over at Purin with a small shrug, he decided to toss that statement in there as well. Perhaps she would understand, and know that whoever had been spreading those rumors might THINK that he was bad, but that that was their opinion and not necessarily the truth.

Catching the other hacker's change in behavior, Li'tae stood back up. Sighing as Zest said she just wanted them to play, that she just wanted to make friends. If Purin had so much trouble with him...Well. Zest and Purin had been having fun before, so if he was causing so much trouble, he might as well take his leave. He certainly wouldn't get any work done sitting around, anyway.

Shrugging as if it didn't matter to him either way, he vaguely hoped the other hacker didn't actually think so ill of him that he would have to take his leave so soon after arriving.

Zest blinks with a look of confusion held on her face as she stares toward the oddly silent Purin. Choosing to ignore the oddity of Purin's sudden aloofness, Zest turns her attention back toward Li'tae as he explains what they are. Her little head nods in understanding while thoughts start to pour into her head.

<Dean doesn't even know completely what we are, but he's never treated me like I was a pet or data... I've been his little sister from the start,> she thinks to herself, small tears forming visually near her eyes. This time, however, Zest hadn't tried to emulate the emotion. She felt happy and suddenly confused at the tears.

Her little arms reach out toward Li'tae as she moves toward him to grab at his leg. She pleads, looking up to him with urgency. She pouts up at Li'tae, this time legitimately, hoping he would give in and help her. she starts asking,

< No, this problem is not from you, it is - >

Another message popped into Purin's head not long after Li'tae had said something to her and Zest had begun to emote even further, and as she read the 'whisper' as she now called it her face creased a little bit.

< Eh? What do you mean you have managed to make it back here? >

Her question was spoken out loud, her message sent that way as she had yet to learn a proper 'whisper'. Purin was a little unaware that her actions were completely off the mark and she was in front of two others and making it seem like she was talking to herself, but that didn't matter. When another whisper came in, she responded yet again.

< Why are you alone? Is she not with you this time? I wouldn't mind coming to where you are, but you will need to actually let me - >

Purin stopped mid-sentence as she turned and looked at the pair near her, the reality of the situation finally dawning upon her. She'd been talking to herself, or so it seemed, and a pixel or two of red creeps across her cheeks in a blush.

< Oh, that is... a whisper...and... >

Purin stammered as she tried to explain, but it didn't seemed to do her any good.

As Zest latched on to his leg, Li'tae twitched just a little. While he didn't mind having a female attached to him, or Trisste for that matter, he didn't appreciate a kid grabbing onto him. That was one of the reasons he didn't like kids - they were so grabby and needy! Forcing himself to smile kindly down at the girl, he found himself sighing at the pout.

The kid seemed to be genuinely confused, and not just playing him this time, so he gave her a reluctant, but short, response. Intrigued at her question regarding emotions.

Giving her a shrug to show that he didn't really have any concrete information on this, he returned his attention to Purin. Li'tae breathed a small sigh of relief at the fact that it wasn't him that was causing the aloofness, he hadn't really wanted to leave anyway, but his eyes narrowed at the elder hacker's next words. Who was she talking to - and why? Where did they make it back from? His curiosity grew as Purin seemed to continue to listen to some other person speaking to her, before she answered them back once more.

As Purin started to stutter an explanation and blushed, Li'tae's curiosity got the better of him as his attitude began to come back full force. He really didn't like being out of the loop, and if Purin was talking to whomever had said he was bad...then he'd rather like to meet them.

Putting on a coy smirk, he gave a small shrug before responding to the hacker's obvious nervousness.

Tagging a friendly smile on at the end, he hoped Purin wouldn't notice the obvious agitation laced neatly between the words.

Zest offers Li'tae a small, warm smile in return for his answer. She likes that he believes they can feel, despite what even humans would say. Zest lets go of Li'tae's leg, figuring he'd earned that courtesy, and turns to face Purin as well. She had witnessed Dean talking to himself before, but Purin seemed to be speaking with somebody else entirely.

Her little head turns back up toward Li'tae as he suggests inviting the other party. Then, with a nod, Zest enthusiastically chimes in with, She bounces up and down on the tips of her feet with excitement before settling into place.

A strange look of deep thought overtakes the little hacker as she realizes that this may not be the best of ideas. Perhaps this strange person Purin was talking to could be a bad person, or even the person spreading rumors about Li'tae. She frowns at the thought, but looks back toward Li'tae for a feeling of reassurance. The elder hacker beside her would surely keep anything bad from happening to a child... right?

< No, do forgive my rudeness, but I believe it would be best if I were to go where they are. It seems like they need my assistance for something right away and I would hate to place my first friend away in regards for the feelings of new ones. I hope you can understand? >

Purin turned and looked at Zest and Li'tae in turn, another message coming into her head at full speed as she spoke to the Child-Elder pair. If possible, her face would have shown a look of honest regret that she had to leave so suddenly from the area, just as this other Elder had arrived, but she was being called.

She was being needed.

< If ever you should wish to meet again with me, I will be always listening for your call. Both of you. >

With a polite bow, one that was deep and full of some sort of respectful emotion, Purin zoned herself out and away from the pair. Her destination was off in the distance, where someone was impatiently waiting...
