Much props to the list maker for nominating Christopher Lambert in Highlander. Not only is it silly that he's a Frenchman pretending to be Scottish, Sean Connery actually IS Scottish, but is pretending to be Egyptian.

Go figure.

I watched Braveheart enough to learn how to do a scottish accent. Then one day, I'm listening to this scientist speak and I couldn't figure out where he was from. Then he says 'as you probably already guessed, I'm Scottish'.

And I wanted to say 'You don't sound like Mel Gibson' xD

LOL.
There are regional differences, even in Scotland though. Maybe that's it?

Schwarzenegger in any movie where his character is supposed to be born and raised in America. Not as bad as the difference between Scottish/Egyptian but Sean Connery as the English King Richard in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. And while I'm talking about that movie, what about Kevin Costner and his lack of an accent? Don't get me wrong, the movie has it's merits, but with so many English accents, his does stand out. "Unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent." rofl Just a bit off topic here, but this was Alan Rickman's best performance aside from Galaxy Quest (not including Die Hard). Speaking of Die Hard, what do you think of his German accent?

I just watched Elizabeth:The Golden Age. Scarlett Johanssen's British accent was a bit off-putting. At least she was trying, but it still distracted a lot.
