Daxelman tangocat777 Griggle990 Arvis_Jaggamar Zombicide Now, I actually like blood and gore/violence in games. It makes the game more fun. However, I hate sex in gaming. I don't think it should be banned, I just think developers should stop putting it in their games. Sex does nothing to make the game fun, and in the end, isn't playing a video game just about having fun? How does gore make a game fun? I would have liked Resident Evil 4 just as much if my head headn't been sliced off numerous times. I probably would have liked it more, actually... Gore makes the game more realistic. If I cut something in a game, I want it to react the same way in real life. If I swing a sword at a wall, there should be a scratch there and that scratch should still be there if I run off somewhere else. Also if I shoot a zombie, I should see blood, a hole, and the zombie make a reaction. Also if I cut somebody in a game, I should see some kind of mark. So the gore makes the game more believable, which intern makes the experience more immersive. I find it annoying to play games, like Zelda because when I swing a sword at an enemy, I only see a flash on the screen, the the enemy flinches back, but there is no mark on him. This makes the kill less satisfying or cool. Pssh. Realistic? Why would we want realism in a fictional media?
Cause then It wouldn't be FUN media. It would be boring, just like most things in life.
Well, of COURSE! Kind of like how blood is boring in real life. Well, if you're not hemophobic or something.

Well blood is not fun in real life, but in games, its a completely different story. rolleyes In Trauma Center, you try to remove blood. That's how I'd like every game to be.

In Gears, when I shoot something, I want a reaction.
Not just an "Uh, you gotz meh!" and a fall down. And then the body goes away magically.........
Tis how I want games to be, excluding games that do not use this feature for feel, or puzzle games.

Dead bodies shouldn't disappear in games these days. The Xbox360, and the PS3 should be powerful enough the handle allot a dead bodies on the ground at one time.

You know, I don't see a top RPG series out there called "Final Realism." If Final Fantasy VII were realistic, then when an MP at the beginning of the game shoots Cloud, Cloud would die and that would be that. End of adventure.
I think video games should try to avoid being too realistic. I think the guys at Naughty Dog got it right with Uncharted. Make sure it still feels like a video game...

Dude, you'll have lead poisoning at the end of of almost EVERY FPS you'll EVER play.
A little common sense realism never hurt nobody. Leaving out some common sense and putting in common sense does need to be regulated though for it to work, but in the end, realism isn't a bad thing......
