If I had had that many years in prison to dwell on returning to my wife and child, only to find out that my wife had been raped and killed herself, and that my daughter was in the clutches of the one who raped my wife, I would have gone crazy too.
I think that many years by myself in prison would make me go crazy anyway.

Okay, so, as far as Sweeney goes, in that situation anyone would have gone insane with revenge and started killing people if he thought his wife was dead and daughter was being taken care of the man who stole his freedom and wife. As far as Mrs. Lovette is conserned, she probably figured he never gonna see Lucy again, so she might as well not tell him she's alive. She probably didn't think he would go insane because of it. And when Sweeney killed Perelli and she decided to make him into pies, well, people probably tast better than pussycats and roaches, right? Basically, put in there situation, I would have done the same thing.

Silidrial I think that many years by myself in prison would make me go crazy anyway. sorry, not to be a jerk or anything, but i don't think he was by himself. i mean, i've never lived in a penal colony for any period of time, so, honestly, i don't know. i could definitely be wrong. but i do know that they made the prisoners build railroads and stuff like that. that would be really hard to do by yourself, and nothing would ever get done, which is my reasoning, and hence, my objection. sorry. not trying to be offensive. (and yea, i go a little comma crazy. 8D)
