Never ever. smile My sister once has this fondue thing, and it had wine in it, so I couldn't even try that. >< I didn't try alcohol when I was younger because beer and wine always smelled terrible to me. When I became older, it got to be more of a "because I want to wait" kind of thing. I've thought about it a lot and decided that I'll most likely enjoy the "fruity" (aka "girly" according to my sister) drinks, where you can't taste the alchol.
I know. My sister has a very different personality from me, and we end up clashing a lot. I think it bothers me more than it does her, mostly because I'm the more sensitive one.
Indeed. smile I hope your family takes your orientation in a good way, but if they don't, there's only so much you can do about it. There are brochures/pamplets/websites that have good information for parents - things like "what should I do?" "Is it my fault?" etc... maybe look into those when you do tell?

sugar on shrimp? that's completely normal. i've never tried it, bu it pro'lly takes gewd. C: i do stuff like that all the time. [ex. mayo on hash browns, ketchup on tomatoes] :D &people think it's absolutely digusting. i dub them loserz.
i have only tried alchohol once, and most people would say it doesn't even count as 'trying'. i dipped the tip of my tongue in a cup of some chinese beer.
it was terrible. D: like piss, seriously.
there is no such thing as normal. dun listen to the stewpid people who say you're abnormal, 'cause you're just as normal as everyone else. [no offense to yer mumsy-kin, of course. =|]

RAWR!: You're thinking of ancient Greek culture, though the Romans may have adopted it later. Y'know, the Greeks were the most advanced civilization in the ancient world. How come people can't accept that the smartest people EVER TO EXIST had same-sex relationships?
(Not that heteros are dumb, of course. There were straight Greeks too. XD)
DN: Mom knows, she just doesn't wanna admit that it's a fact. Mammaw's the one I haven't told. Buuut it's just as well, because Mammaw's the one that I'd want to meet my girlfriend, not Mom.

I guess I sound more sensitive than I really am. My family is the one that really gets to me, I guess because they're around 24/7. Plus there's a lot of underneath stuff that gets to me in a big way, which means the smaller things get to me as well for a short time. Most of the time I can brush it off relatively quickly. It's only occasionally (coughPMScough) that it's too annoying.
That's right! The newest cruise, Valerie. wink Those were just dumb examples I came up with on the spur of the moment. Most of the websites are much more carefully worded and actually have helpful information for parents. Questions like "What do I ask my son or daughter?" or things like that. They also usually contain "coping" tips, because like it or not, it's sometimes a big shock that your parents need time to adjust to. Coping isn't the right word, but I'm too tired to think of the right one. :/

Because there is SO much hate in the world. Racism and sexism still exist, and it is very likely that it always will. Humans are thick-headed and don't like to accept things that are different from themselves. But they have a right to feel that way, even if most disagree.
