It's too extreme, for me. There's a lot of, "You have to do/be EXACTLY this and NOTHING else, NO exceptions!" They're not very open...
I can't find it right now, but we have a thread on fur fashion somewhere...And PETA kinda made some rather degrading images.

I found their factbooks very valuable and if I didn't see their site I may not have become vegetarian. One can still use them as a resource without agreeing with the organizations actions.

PETA is a good idea, but they take it too far and because of them people think ALL people who care about anime rights are like that so we never will get heard. Plus they try and FORSE their believes on other people when they really need to do is talk to them give them facts and all that and let the person make decide what they want to believe in.

I do agree they are a bit forceful and their protest are a little "over the top". But, they do make a strong point to society. I've seen a program on HBO about peta, and their undercover investigations. They are very shocking...and very disturbing.
There was something gross that this undercover guy saw. He saw this guy literally "sexually harassing" a TURKEY. Yes, a turkey. I won't go into detail...
