Lupita sighed as she walked down the path that went through the forest. Since the day she had found that strange egg by the path, her life had changed greatly. It was alot more work than she had thought at first and she quickly found out that she wasn't great mom material. "Where are we going?!" whinned the little light blue and white kitsu at the older females heels. "I'm tired and bored!" she added in for extra effect.Lupita rolled her eyes and sighed again, counting slowly to calm down, as this was the fifteenth time the young female had asked the same question. "I told you where we were going the last fourteen times you asked. You need to be patient, Mina, and just enjoy the walk." she said as calmly and firmly as possible.

Mika was enjoying a little stroll through the forest. His other three children were with their mother, Azura, at the Realm's HQ building. He had wanted to see if he could see his fourth child to make sure that the kit had hatched already. Hearing two sets of voices, Mika quickly vanished into a nearby brush and watched an adult and a baby kitsu walk past.
Carefully, he stared at the adult and noticed that it was Lupita. Gazing down at the baby, he didn't recognize the kit, but knew that it had to be his fourth child. 'So, the kit did hatch,' he thought to himself. 'It seems that the kit is still alive. That is good. Lupita still has no clue that the kit she is raising is mine.'

"But why do we have to go there and why do we have to go the long way?!" Mina whinned again. They had made the trek times before but she had never remembered being this long. But that was also when her mother would allow her to ride upon her back to make the long journey.
"Because I say so. Next time you whine about it, Mina, I will make sure it takes even longer to get home again." the half-blind female stated, clearly exsaperated with her daughter. Even though the young kit was not her own, she wished she could find her real parents and tell them never to breed again as they produce rather annoying offspring. The older kitsu was unaware that her mate was near by watching her and was more interested in the well being of the kit than she knew.

Mika slowly started to creep up closer and closer towards the pair. He felt like he was all alone when he felt a bump on his hindlegs. Quickly, yet silently, he turned around to see his son, Asita, behind him. He hadn't followed his orders to stay with Azura.
"Get away," he hissed at his son before attempting to turn his attention back to his 'mate' and his illegitimate daughter. "But daddy. I am scared to be alone," whispered the young kit. Mika sighed and paused for a few seconds. He knew it was wrong to leave young kits out here by themselves but at the same time he wanted to follow Lupita and her 'daughter' without the disturbance of a kit. After a few tense moments he finally caved in.
"Alright, but keep quiet." Asita nodded his head, knowing his father's temper quite well.

Lupita stopped for a moment and listened, her ears flicking from side to side. She thought she had heard something back down the path but was too busy trying to watch Mina that she hadn't quite caught what it was. She turned and looked back down the path with her good eye but didn't see anything.
"Why did ya stop mama?" Mina said as she practically ran right into her mother. She took looked down the path but only because her mother had.
"I thought I had heard something but I didn't hear it well because of your whinning. So with that, please be quiet. There are dangers that lurk in these parts and we need to be alert." the blind female said and continued on her way.

Mika stopped quickly in his tracks, causing Asita to run into his father. "What was..." the young kit started to say until his father clamped his mouth shut with both front paws. Stiffened with fear, the older male listened carefully to hear if the pair had started walking again.
It was a few tense minutes before Mika let go of Asita's mouth. The young kit shuddered slightly and looked up at his father. "What was that all about? And who are you following?" Asita knew it wasn't his mother but he had to find out the truth. "My true mate...and your sister."
Asita canted his head as he watched his father move on. It took the young kit a few moments to figure out that his father was leaving him behind and he quickly caught up. "What do you mean my sister? You mean I have more than my other sister that mother has?" Mika nodded his head. "Indeed. I gave one of your siblings to my true mate and it seems she is keeping the young kit alive...for the time being. Soon, however, I have to reveal that I am the kit's father and that I snuck behind her back to have a litter with your mother. Hopefully she doesn't get too angry."
This angered the young kit. Not waiting for anything to happen, Asita burst out of the brush and headed towards the pair of female kitsu. Mika cursed to himself for telling his son that but he didn't want to risk revealing himself yet. Carefully, he delved deeper into the brush but not too deep to not see his son bound towards his mate and daughter.

The blind female froze as the sound of something crashing out of the bushes and her ears flicked back to catch the sound of paws coming her way. She hadn't been imagining things when she had heard a noise. She turned so that she could see what it was coming with her good eye.
Mina had heard the sound as well and hide behind her mother and watched as a kit about the same age as her came running towards them. She was curious and scared at the same time and decided to just wait to see what her mother would do.
Lupita watched as the kit came running towards them. Seeing him as not a threat worth taking notice of, she raised her brows in curiosity. There had better be a parent around becuase there was no way in all the world she would take another orphaned kit in. She had Mina and that was about all she wanted at the moment.
