The meager fear that had begun to form within the boy's heart seemed to instantly magnify itself as he watched the figure suddenly take on a new appearance. The red mask, and the black robes...Suddenly Ian didn't feel as though he had just done something very wise.

But he wouldn't let this baphoon stop him. He began to speak again to let out yet another wise-crack comment, but suddenly something interrupted him. A soft noise began to play in his head, and he shivered violently for a second, trying to shake away the sound- or was it a song?

The moment the thing demanded for him to leave, suddenly the urge to erupted within him. He tried to take a step back, but if it were not for Alcine directly behind him he probably would have already jolted back in the opposite direction. "Al-Alcine.."The boy whispered as he turned around, his eyes averted from her own, "Let's go. I-I need to go--" His voice sounded strained, and beaten, as though he was forcing out part of them, and the other part was something he couldn't resist to say. He grabbed onto her hand, his grasp tight and sweaty--or, well slimy. Ian began to walk in the opposite direction, stopping only when Alcine didn't move. "Let's go--please?" The look in his eyes was desperate now.

What little hope he had was fading.
He had to go.

Alcine took a step back as the thing changed form and became more menacing, though she refused to move any closer with it's beckonings. Breena, however, seemed to find something amusing, her cold laugh filling the girl with dread. It doesn't matter if you want to anymore, young one. This one doesn't ask for permission.

She gave Ian a bewildered stare as he began to complain about being there, about having to leave...was he insane? "Eeyan, what'sssssssss wrong?" She held on to his hand, but didn't move at his call, shaking her head. "What arr yuu dooeeng?" She looked from the boy to the strange entity, her brows furrowing. Somehow, it had something to do with this.

"What did yuu du tuu hymm?" Alcine started to hiss, her tail giving an antsy thrash behind her. Breena didn't have to be the only violent one.

It grew weary of the seahorses babblings. They did these humans have to be so concerned about others when they where at stake? Ah well, maybe it time it could understand them.

“Go, do not concern yourself with her” he said, its tone getting clearly more angry at Ian.

It drew closer to Alcine, not longer bothering to look at Ian, despite that he was standing between them both. It stared directly at her, making eye contact (Notably without any eyes) “Now, you will come with us, it’s for the better” Its voice piercing his thoughts, weakening her will.

Ian ignored Alcine's questions, and tugged on her hand again, hoping that she would move and just follow him. "Alcine, please..Let's just go--" He murmurred, this time with less determination and more desperation. If she would just go, maybe that thing wouldn't follow! But why wouldn't she leave? Why did she have to be so stubborn?

Not that he should be one to talk.

The moment the thing demanded for him to leave again, and this time telling him to not worry about Alcine, the boy cringed visibly, as though something had just shot through his heart and pride. The desperation painted across his face melted into dread, and despit his heart's own desire, his hand left Alcine's, unable to hide the tears welling up in his eyes for the first time in front of her. He turned quickly on his heels, not given the chance to give one last sympathetic glance at the girl before he began to walk away.

"Eeyan? Eeyan!"

Alcine became frantic as he began to walk away, and she stumbled forward to stop him in his tracks. He wouldn't leave her with this thing, would he? However, the moment Dark called to her, she found herself stopped in her tracks, turning around to face the thing with a bewildered expression. She couldn't move, couldn't force herself to do so much as look back at Ian disappearing among the trees to who knows where.

"Forr thuh bettur?" She asked, her body stiff as she looked into the lack of the creature's eyes. She didn't care what it said; if it was related to Breena in any sort of way, then she didn't want to be involved.

Alcine, stop being so stubborn; go!

With that, Alcine felt her will crumbling beneath her, and against her desires, she took a step closer to Dark, one shaky movement forward that would ultimately send her spiraling down the Wave's path. She was frightened, but the closer she got, the less conscious she felt, losing her will to the combined forces acting upon her.

It will be for the better, Alcine. Trust in me.

It was this last thought that plunged Alcine into the depths of unconsciousness, and also into the clutches of Dark.
