Hey guys!
Just dropping a quick link here before I go off studying. I have a two-week-long, SOLID block of SUPER hard tests, so I won't be able to do anything for awhile.
I just saw this link on my hotmail account about the top 14 eco-friendly colleges. It has pretty pictures. whee
Woot~! Evergreen State University and British Columbia University both made it in! Hah. Being from the Evergreen State rocks. heart

Well s**t, nothing from Texas on here. Oh well, where I'm going they have ecological restoration as a major, that's something right there. Eh, I can always turn it all into an adventure I suppose, rather than going to an already green university I can convert a completely ordinary one into the greenest thing o the planet.
Yeah! I'ma go green some Aggies!

I actually just finished reading this on Grist's website because I'm a subscriber. Except on Grist they have 15 colleges listed and 5 runner ups. for some reason msn took out Aquinas College in Michigan. MSN also move Yale below Glasgow University of Scotland. http://www.grist.org/news/maindish/2007/08/10/colleges/?source=most_popularI really want to go to Grists's top runner up college: University of New Hampshire.

My computer is being dumb, so it won't let me access the full list, but I would be shocked if my school is on the list. We have a hard enough time getting recycling to happen, let alone any real activism. Though, there was rumors of an environmentalist club starting up at the end of last semester. I couldn't make the interest meeting because I had rehearsal (I always have rehearsal...) but I'm excited about the possibilities...
(I go to St. Andrews Presbyterian College in North Carolina, btw.)

Wow, those are some beautiful pictures! Our nearby UC Davis also has some green buildings of which they are quite proud. Actually, several continuing education symposiums have been held in the Gladys Valley Hall from that list, and I was over there just a couple of weeks ago. I found the green buildings page while I was looking for an address to Mapquest, and impressed all my coworkers with an account of the energy-efficient design of the building.^_^

I checked out the Evergreen State U. online, though I didn't find it that interesting, in terms of being a college. It is recognized as one of the 40 Colleges that Change Lives, though, which is good. (:
I love Washington State. It's SO gorgeous there!
