omg, is any rational person really going to confuse ho ho ho with the slang term for ho? how far is censorship going to go with this sort of mentality? i know a person that suggested that the poem owl and the pussycat should be censored and changed because p***y in a modern context doesn't represent a feline portrayal, but rather a sexual euphemism. he even suggested that certain songs should be changed because they referenced being gay and since that word no longer represents a concept of joy but rather a concept of sexual identity, people might get the wrong impression by singing those songs and therefore the word should be banned from those melodies. i guess under this mentality, the english language itself should be censored because a majority of the words found in the english language can now be considered offensive when in direct context with modern slang terms.
also, with all the issues out there including ongoing war, increasing poverty, problems with chronic illness directly related to lack of health care, crime, real bigotry and discrimination as well as other social issues, is this really the major concern of people? it's sad with all these significant issues that dramatically effect people's lives, people decide to concentrate on whether ho ho ho can be considered offensive, an issue that only seems to negatively effect people with absurd mentalities over what can be considered offensive negative language. give me a break.

Wtf?! That's bull. I never realized there was 'ho' in there until now. It's not like people think of it that way. >.>
You say the rule is only being used here in Australia?
'Hahaha.' Well if I see Santa imma ask him what he's laughing about. >|

Shindig: WTF?! Are you serious? A meter away? Shiiiit, I'd stand like, half a meter from someone just to ******** with the school's rules... See who the hell would really get me in trouble over it... *Rebellious when it comes to stupid rules XD*
winterberries: Find him, and kick 'im in the shins for me. =_= Santa says "ho ho ho." The end.

I hear you calling and it's needles and pins I want to hurt you just to hear you screaming my name
I heard that over the radio, too.
The world is going to hell in a hand basket, and there's the proof.
Don't want to touch you but you're under my skin I want to taste you but your lips are venomous poison

Shindig: Jeez, that's crazy. I hope she gets back into the school (if it's even worth it with rules like that).
Sonic: *Nods*

I was hanging out with my friend today, and she said, "Do you know that they're making the fake Santas at the mall say 'Hahaha' instead of 'Hohoho' now?" And I was like, "Yep."
But we live in the United States, so maybe it does apply for here too? Or else she saw the Internet article.

I never thought of it like that. So I doubt little five-year-olds will either. o.o But "ha ha ha"? It seems like Santa's laughing at you.

Didja know that one of the top reasons why little kids are afraid of clowns is because of their laugh?
Imagine kids being afraid of Santa!

Imagine kids being afraid of Santa! Really, that's horrible. Pfft, better enjoy using that word before they ban it for the "hor" part...

Hold on to your dictionaries, folks. They might be valuable in the future since they'll include all of the forbidden words rolleyes

"Ha ha ha"?
That's not the Christmas spirit! D< It sounds like Santa's laughing at the kids, like Stali said.
