I start to cry when you walk out the door you go bye bye bye I go "why why why" I wan to clarify a few things with your first post.
one: it's Allah two: the jewish god is Yaweh who is the christian god
I believe that parents want the best for their children, including being resistant to the calls of temptation and evil. There fore they are going to try to get their children to believe in the Faith they believe in. I am Roman Catholic and I feel bad about this. Children have no rights. They don't know how to choose for themselves, they don't see the consequences down the line. They will drive themselves to ruin with out guidance, guidance that Religion and their parents will provide. I'm so lonely and only waiting for you to come back and tell me "I love you"

Dorothy.. I think the child should follow the parents religion until he or she is old enough to make a choice for him or herself. The way my parents raised me was to believe in Allah, but I guess I believe in a bunch of other stuff also.
has invaded your thread.

Let me just say I grew up hating Christians and Catholics because that's what I was forced into without anyone actually explaining the more confusing aspects of it to me. Yeah, I'd ask questions. Plenty of them, but as answers I just got "Just do as God says, and you'll be fine" blah blah. I didn't want to hear that, I wanted to understand. I'm slowly getting over that now, but it's not easy. I had to fight with my parents to let me quit the church (I was 13 at the time and was still being forced every morning to go or face being grounded, and when I said I'd rather be grounded I nearly got beaten, which my parents don't believe in doing, so that's bad.) I think parents should just inform their kids, teach them as well as they can the difference between right and wrong and WHY something is wrong when the kid can't see why for themself. I can see why strong believers would just want their kids to be ritious or whatever so they force what they think is best on them, but there's the problem, forcing your beliefs on others. This crap causes wars! And people don't see the flaw in that?! Ok, putting myself in a bad mood when I was all happy the snow from yesterday melted...

Dude, you forgot the Goddess.
Also, it's Buddha, and "the jewish guy" is God. lolz.
On to the topic... As a pagan in the midst of a huge family of catholics, I can relate. Only a few of my relatives know (and are okay with) my religion, so I have to be very careful that the rest don't find out. This is why I'm glad I'm away at college.
