Hey, I thought that episode was scary As well!! And that Old woman gone crazy after staying in Jail for Decades if you heard her talk about the story, she didn't look that much older when she got out of prison.

Lmao, Hama mean "Hippo" in Korean xD

i know. and decades is a long time.

But you know, I don't blame her. Being imprisoned, tortured, most likely raped (if you think outside of nick), knowing that your loved ones are suffering the same fate just because of something they can't control... it does things to you. I wasn't scared or going "crazy lady". Instead all I could think about was to hug her, so much suffering. If I were Katara I would have done a pity kill. Now she's back in a prison... until the full moon.

Man that episode was creepy! Yet it seemed like this episode came right out of a fanfiction. neutral Oh well, it was still awesome.

I'm glad they finally showed that you can get water from thin air. I was wondering about that for a while.

Bloodbending isn't for people like Katara. Even though she's strong her heart isn't in battle. The only reason she's learned to fight is to help Aang, plus she's crying at the end of the episode. Imagine how horrible it would be to have that much power. I've been talking about how cool it would be, but think of how scared the people around you would become. You could control them, and they know it. And if you're cruel, you could rip the water from there body, and just kill them that way. Bloodbending should have been kept with Hama till she died. However, it will come in handy, but I don't see Katara using it willingly. She doesn't like it. So there's my two cents.

her.. heart isn't in battle? Are you joking? She's all about fighting. ("I don't wanna heal, I wanna fight!") She's proven herself to bully people right and left in service of good, and never think twice about it. She just doesn't ever truly hurt anyone.

I agree with you that she doesn't want to bloodbend, because she's not cruel. And she won't want to do it.. but she will, and I don't think she'll angst too much over it, because she'll be as ethical as possible, and she'll do everything she can not to hurt someone with it.

Yes she was crying.. because she was forced to learn and do something horribly dangerous and she's equating herself with Hama and wondering if this skill will change her into someone horrible. I don't think, however, that you can say that she's not into battle, or that she's only fighting to help Aang.

It was an interesting episode. I was waiting for them to mention the different ways about bending water from different sources, like blood. This episode showed the "evil" side to bending, like controlling people's actions using blood bending. When you think about it, every type could be shown to hurt others, like bending the air out of someone's lungs and suffocating them.

It was good to see how the southern water tribe use to look and learn a little bit of their history. Hopefully we will learn more about the air temple close to the fire nation soon.
