It's finally the fifth of November!!! I went to my uncle's firework display last night, I am going to my Grandparents' bonfire this night and I am going to my mum's mate's bonfire tomorrow. I've been hearing fireworks since late September and now I can't wait xd *lights a sparkler* And don't forget all those TV adverts telling you to be safe with fireworks 3nodding

Where exactly do you live? I know in Maryland we don't really celebrate the 5th of November, although I wish we would...

Yeah, we get July 4th. Though we don't get ads telling us to be safe... we just go get our fingers burned. Or the space between your fingers, and there's nothing that hurts like that. It's just... GAAAAHHHH!!!! Yeah. Been burned there. Twice by fireworks, once by a hot pan. Always between the thumb and first finger of my left hand...
I'm also half blind in my right eye 'cause of... more fire. 'Cept that one was a grill gone wrong. And therefore a real accident, not something that was absolutely idiotic like fireworks. It was like... come on! Is my vision not crappy enough, let's make it so I only have 135 degrees of vision, rather than 180+ (people can usually see somewhat behind them-- isn't peripheral vision cool?).

But now I love them, and when I want them I remember that the sparklers are only for the little kids and if I light one people will look at me like I'm a retard.
