I didn't see that coming at all. It's a weird family tree in my opinion.
Alutian was right about Ian being Gino's half brother and whatnot. Perhaps I was just blinded foolishly to see it.

Yay! 4laugh
Anyhow...
I want to see the next animation. The manga didn't have enough action in it, in my opinion; it was mostly talking, though it did clear up a few points.
Also:
Isn't it kind of funny that all four of the Von Helsen 'children' seem to be at least bending toward turning their backs on their father and the other vampires?
Ian has lived as a human since a young boy. He is considered a traitor.
Louie was recently discovered by Zhivago to have joined Ian.
The sisters are now with Liam. They'll probably do just about anything he asks them, including setting Gino loose and helping the guys out of the castle. I've no idea how far the girls will go against the vampire side, but right now...

I always read it the same way Alutian did...it was pretty clear, though I'm still glad they went and told the story. I knew they looked alike...and I will stand by that.
As to the Von Helsen kids turning, it's mostly natural...at least for the boys. Hmm...let's see...you murder somebody's mum right in front of them, most likely treat them with little to no respect for the next something-odd years, and you expect complete loyalty...how stupid are these people? And for the girls...it's just funny. There is no further point of reason, it's just pure, ironic comedy. teehee...

Is there a reason why the only people so far who have admitted to figuring it out are both Ravenclaws?
About the animation: I really expected Vladimir and the vampires to have stuck around for a little longer than they have. It seemed to end so fast, whereas the Zurg stuck around through Christmas before leaving. Oh well. Onward and upward.
A friend of mine recently pointed out an interesting note about the plot: Was the woman legally and bindingly married to Vladimir? Did he divorce her (I doubt it...), and if not, does that mean she (technically and legally) had an affair with Johnny?
If so, that's an interesting bit of character fun...Gino thinks of Ian as low-life. IF this theory has a basis in fact, it is a little more the other way around: Ian is the legitimate, first-born son of Vampire nobility. Gino is the product of an affair between a wealthy businessman and the wife of said Vampire nobility. Poor Gino wouldn't be able to stand it if that was revealed as truth...
That's food for thought, there. Might not be true, but it's almost amusing to ruminate on.
I hope they give us another tidbit soon. I want to see Liam and Gino get out of the dungeons; they can't be left in there until thanksgiving!
Oh, and one question: Does anyone really know what happened in the shooting sequence of the Animation? I got lost really quick: I saw Edmund shoot, then Zhivago, and Vladimir fell to the ground mortally wounded, and Edmund and Zhivago both are staring wide-eyed and open-mouthed as though they can't beleive he got hit. Did I miss something there?
