She had left him. Again. The small, frail looking kitsu sat down at the base of one of the tallest trees in the forest, sighing lightly. Even though it had only sighed you could tell the creature was of masculine nature. He felt very vulerable sitting before that tree. His blue fur easily made him stand out from all the dark greens and browns of nature. The pure white wings on his back made him stand out ever more. He moved his head from side to side as if looking around although his eyes were closed. He listened to the sounds of the day which consisted of the birds that had not flown away for the winter and the cicadas which had not yet died off. He smelled the scent of leaves and such that were all around him and sighed again.
His constant companion and friend had left him. "
I'll be right back!" She'd said, her voice was still fresh in his mind. That had been what seemed like years ago. He had been pacing around ever since and had just chosen to sit near the tree. The dark blue halo that drifted over his head seemingly magicly moved as he stood up again. He was rather bored. He moved forewards very tentatively, his eyes still closed. He listened to himself step on the various dead leaves that littered the ground. A nippy breeze rustled his fur. "
Forsythia, you had better return soon," He whispered impatiently in his unusually melodious voice, looking irritated.
He sat on the sun-warmed ground and scratched his nose and then rubbed his still closed eyes.
