As I'm sure a lot of you know, 4chan hasn't been online for a good while now, and are probably wondering who's hands it's fate lies in. Long story short, moot is set for life, and doesn't wanna see 4chan go into further degeneration, so he pulled the plug, and is auctioning off the domain, and servers.

Long story short: The fate of the site now belongs in the hands of the highest bidder. The DDoS has stopped long ago, but moot is still off making soup and has not plugged 4chan back in.

So what do you all think of 4chan finally going away? If Gaia underwent a similar process, would you be sad, or just move on? Where will Anonymous go now?

It's back, guys, it seems that either moot kept it, or an Anonymous got it. It's still the good ol' sea of piss we all know and love. That, and if you went in directly to the board itself, not the front page, it was never down to begin with. I got some sweet .RARs off of /d/ today.

I didn't know until a friend told me, partly because I don't have the pages bookmarked, and didn't know the exact link. To be honest, I was as clueless as the next guy. There I was, thinking the servers were giving trouble again.

4chan is one of those sites that is pretty cool if you know where to look.

It can also be somewhat interesting, as long as you take it with a grain of salt.

I'm happy it's back. It's the essence of disorganized post-modernism with power. Truly, it'll be in a history book some day if only for that reason.
