Haha funny you would mention this...my brother won a chance for him and my mom to see jkr and get 2 books signed in nyc, so they went (I wasn't allowed to go....*sniffle*) and they were allowed to ask questions, and someone asked if Dumbledore ever fell in love and she said that she had always imaginde Dumbledore as being gay, so he was in love with Grindleward I guess. That's totally cool by me, I gotses nothing against gay or lesbian people!

I found out through my boyfriend. He'd been online downstairs and he yelped and shouted for me to come down and that I wouldn't believe what he'd found out...by accident.

I laughed myself silly.

Ahhh, young love! Isn't it sweet. (If you ignore how it ended.)

After reading that though, I wondered if the only reason Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald was if maybe Grindelwald let him, unable to kill his former lover.

I respect him so much more now that I know he's gay. Also, that thing with Grindelwald must have killed him... So sad.

I guess the hints were always there, but I just couldn't bring myself to believe it. Like stated before, there is nothing wrong with it. I have a few gay guy friends, as well as Lesbian girl friends. Hell, my sister is Les for crying out loud. I don't mind, as long as they don't start doing stuff in the lieterature written about it. Those are the only slash stories I put up with, and even those are maybe's.

The fact that Dumbledore is gay doesn't really make me feel any different about him. He's just such a nice guy, you know? But strangely, I wasn't surprised. I was shocked that JKR had gone out of her way to make Dumbledore gay, but it was funny and honestly, I kind of suspected that all along.
