So who is the true victor of this contest? Well I know there are a lot of people hoping it was them...okay I know the four who entered are hoping it is them...not sure if 4 counts as a lot XD. But anyways, I just want to say, the true winner is not only the people who get to read them, but me... because I couldn't create so many wonderful front pages like you guys did. With that said, there's actually no clear cut winner because each of you have done such an amazing job.
I'd like to give a little nomination out to Enchanted for entering in the competition despite the fact that I know she doesn't like competition that much...mwahaha I just brought you out into the lime light, bow enchanted, bow ^_^. Well anyways as for the winners... I said I was going to pick two right? First place and second place...
Well here's the problem, every single time I saw an entry I thought it was the best thing since sliced onions..wait...er okay well perhaps the act of slicing and dicing something haha. (the below is in order of appearance)
When Ultimate nova...er.. Divine Chaos posted his up, I was tempted to say 'HEY! THAT'S THE WINNER RIGHT THERE!" yes in caps as well, because I was shouting this in my head mind you. You used great action in it, and I just loved the scene, gave it the epic feel that I look for in rp'ing style. Definitely can draw in those fighting rp'ers...which Gaia is abundant on. As for your last structure (starting from the welcome to the legion of literates to domo arigato), talking about the whole reason behind the guild and how to join up, well that was the one of the few that brought up the rules and method of entry, so I have to give you props on it because... in all honesty... it was a lot better than the one I had, so, as you can see I used it on each of the following entries when posting it up (unless someone who enters in later puts their own up as well), just because it captures the mood so well. So props props for that.
Once I saw Enchanted's I was knocked away, it was one of the better invitations I have seen for a guild, in fact I am tempted as using it as a template for sending out to potential members, very nice indeed, and I think it would be very effective in doing the task well (and definitely save me some time on making personal invites...which take forever). You captured a lot of the presence in the guild, and definitely have it deliver itself to the viewer. Something I am proud to have up on the front page. So lol when I saw this, I was sure it would be one of the two winners.
And when I thought there was going to be no more entries, and I had decided I had my two winners, not to mention there only being two entries...Zelly comes in out of nowhere and posts something that blows me out of the water as well. I must say you captured a nice balance between action and invitation of the previous two, definitely making it stand out in its own way. I like it quite a lot, it has an odd quirk about it (that's a good thing when it comes to steveism) that reminds me of one of our banners by shin, the one that said 'come follow along, join in on the legion of literates', and had that person skating along. Check out the
banner contest to see what I mean. Anywho it was another great entry.
And finally, on the day that it is over, and perhaps the reason I decided to push it off till today instead of the fifteenth, we have a new contestant as well as a new member Iio Sogi, who wanted in on the action, and well... lol well first off, I'll admit, I had a hand in the creation of his, but as I stated in the entry contest form, if one needs help, I am there to help them. So there are a few parts in there that draw from the steveism. However I have to say that the way it was written into a poetry style was very fantastic. I love poetry, and am a sucker for it. It captures the meaning of looking for meaning behind words. Which I think definitely will draw in the crowd of writer's we're looking for. As we expand the guild, we are looking for more than just literate rp'ers, but anyone who loves words, and well you captured that. So good job!
Well with that said, with four amazing entries... who is the winner... Can anyone really pick one of those four? I know AtavisticDevilry did, and I have to say he made some good points...and perhaps I could just copy his winners, however! As a steve fantastic finish, i decided to do something no one has done before...okay..I've done it several times before, but I am altering the rules of the contest! That's right everyone...there are four winners! Hah, so who did I choose as number 1? Well hah, you'll never know as I hide behind my 1 for all! Mwahaha, brilliant yes? Truthfully I was planning on doing it all along to those who entered, but I wanted the best out of people, and I know competition definitely gets the best out of someone, which is why I only stated that there'd be two winners. So thank you all for doing your best, you all deserve a prize for doing so amazing and indeed a prize you shall get.
I am sorry that I pulled a fast one on all of you, but seriously I love them all, and it'd be another week of me tallying up reasons why or why not I would choose one of them until I finally would just end up having to flip a coin, yes the contest was that close.
So, please accept October's Monthly Collectible as a reward for doing so great or you can wait a week when I get some birthday money to buy November collectibles if you prefer that. In order to collect your prize, you must put up here which one you want, and give yourself a great pat on the back ^_^.
Thanks again for those who entered.
