But, even if this one turns out the same... you tried. And though the rejection, or just the thought thereof, may hurt... if you don't, then you may very well miss out on getting to know a really nice guy even better... o.o
Besides, placing myself in his shoes, after I said that I "liked" someone (which I probably never will again... ._.( ) ), and they didn't respond, I would definitely get the impression that they didn't want to reciprocate, and probably would leave any thoughts of any future "encounters" behind... o.o
So, go for it... and I think everyone else here has pretty good advice for the call... o.o

I hate phones. HATE. I sound like a man. But, if I had a chance at maybe getting together with an awesome guy, I'd brave my complete lack of social skillz and manly-man voice. Because he might totally be worth it.
