 You'll never get to heaven...
You know, I have this filesharing/storage thing called a goowy, and while downloading someone's song (You know who you are), I realized that that would be a great addition to this guild. Someone could send a file that they want to share (Likely music) to a mod, and they could upload it to the Goowy, provided it's less than 10mb. (Unlike this song, sadly) There could be a link in a thread, with updates as to what's on it! Anyone like this idea? DISCUSS! And add ideas?

Goowy? I've never heard of it... but I'm intrigued.
I usually have used yousendit.com for music files and things, but the files are only available for one week or ten downloads, whichever comes first.

You'll never get to heaven...
One of the things I like about Goowy is you can host your files for for-freaking-ever. -has files on there from 2006 still- And you can make the downloads public, which wouldn't neccessitate (require) everyone logging into it, except for uploading.

ya sounds like a bomb idea. I only chose rapidshare since it is one of the most popular and easy to use filesharing sites on one of the DnB sites i go to. Send me a link for this gowwy site and i'll check it out. unfortunately most of my mixes are at least 45 min. or more. I will try to finish off my three other mixes. One is very chillin loungy beats. ANother is heavy grimey sounding jump up stuff. and my final mix is called "The Women of Jungle" which is all tracks with female vocals on it. Been busy with aggressive behaviour course in toronto so haven't had much time to mix.

what's the largest a file can be that can be uploaded onto this site?? i can splice the mixes into two parts for smaller file sizes...

I dunno thats pretty small. I think it would be annoying if people want to download a mix but gotta download like 4 pieces of it...

SatoriValentine I love this idea we just have to get more guild members involved Like me I havent been here in forever i am a bad member but I am trying to be more attentive biggrin Thirty lashes with a wet noodle for you! xd And then huggles and cookies for coming back, of course. ^^ Seriously, though, I DO want to hear everyone's thoughts and suggestions as far as improving/expanding the guild! I notice the subforums are a bit less frequented, but let me just take a moment to encourage everyone to look into them here and there -- in a few days I'm going to move this thread into the Guild-Specific area, and I do want to start encouraging members to post suggestions in there... remember, I'm old, so having suggestion threads in there will help me keep track! sweatdrop

Sounds like a good idea. I would love to see an easy way we could get it working. Is there a code you can input so when you hover your mouse over a link a box appears and you can see where it goes, and scroll through it without being taken to a different window. Been seeing that a lot lately and it rocks. I love how in my yahoo email when I get sent a video link I can just play it in the same window. I'm no coding genius, seeing if anyone knows? If your lost on what I mean I can send any of you to a site that uses it. I think their called mashup or something..
