She scratched behind one ear in thought. She hadn't actually been paying attention to where she went or where she had come from as she explored the land. Now, she couldn't tell in which direct her home lay. "I'm sure I can find my way back," she answered with a firm nod of her head, even though she wasn't all that sure that she could.

Snapping his attention back to Mohana (after all, what was it that his father said...? Something about paying attention) he grinned. "Want me to help you look? It can be like, an adventure or something!"
Nalin was practically bouncing on the pads of his paws in anticipation of Mohana's answer. He was SO EXCITED to go on an adventure!

"An adventure?" Mohana repeated thoughtfully as she tilted her head. Her father always told her adventure stories before bed. Her mother didn't approve of, as she had put it, "filling a child's head with nonsense." But Mohana enjoyed the stories her father told. "I suppose an adventure wouldn't be such a bad thing."

"Not such a bad thing?! How could you not be excited for an adventure?" Nalin didnt understand why Mohana would be reluctant about going. To him, adventures were fun times of exploration and the occasional dangerous beast (you know, butterflies and birds and the like).
Cubs were supposed to go on adventures- Nalin went with his father on them all the time. He loved it when his dad took him exploring.

Mohana flushed out of embarrassment. "W-Well," she stuttered, trying to think of how she should respond to him. "I guess I just never thought about it," she mumbled, looking down as she kneaded the ground. As much as she enjoyed the adventure stories her father told her, she had never thought she would have adventures of her own.
She looked up and glanced around. "Hm, where should we start?"

Nalin grinned, not quite picking up on Mohana's embarrassment. He walked up next to her and looked her in the eyes. "Well, the first thing to do is to pick a direction."
Nalin really wanted to show Mohana what an adventure was all about, so he hoped it would turn out awesome.
Scratch that... Nalin KNEW it would be awesome!

She leaned back as suddenly Nalin's face was right in front of hers. A direction? She glanced around the area, trying to think of which would be the best path for them to take. But nothing here looked familiar at all. She would have to just randomly pick a direction.
"What about that way?" she asked, pointing off to their right.

Nalin flashed a grin and began to walk in the direction pointed. "Great! Now we have a direction. And a quest, which is to find your home!" Now came in the adventure part.
He didnt know what would happen that would be adventure worthy, but something had to. I mean, otherwise it wouldnt be much of an adventure.

"Have you gone on many adventures?" Mohana asked as they headed off in the direction she had chosen. Nothing looked familiar to her. She guessed that she hadn't paid much attention to her surroundings when she wandered off from her home. Mom and Dad are going to be mad at me, she thought with an internal sigh.

"Me and my dad go out sometimes! And sometimes I have them with my siblings." Nalin smiled and walked along confidently. Even if they got lost... well... that was all part of the adventure!
"And sometimes I have them on my own, but its not as much fun." That when Nalin spotted a small tree that was twisted all funny- bent at the top, looping all the way down to make a partial circle.
"Look at that! Its so coool!" He gestured to it with a paw excitedly.

"Your life sounds much more adventurous than mine," Mohana said softly as they walked.
At home, her mother was always fussing about and acting overly protective. Apparently, when it came to her own family, the shy demeanor melted away. Her father was more the type to be an adventurer, but he spent most of his time locked away in his study.
Distracted from her thoughts, Mohana looked up at what Nalin was pointing toward. "Is it natural for a tree to look like that?" she asked, having never seen a tree like it.

"Adventure is all in how you look at it!" Nalin smiled at Mohana.
"I dont know! I've never seen anything like it." He trotted off of the path and over to the strangely shaped tree, jumping through the circle it created and pawing at the trunk of it.
"I bet its a MAGIC tree!" He smiled excitedly. This was the perfect beginning to a perfect adventure.

"A magic tree? Do such thing really exist?" she asked, staring at Nalin with wide eyes. Her father had certainly never told about magic trees. She trotted around it, looking it over and wondering what sorts of magic the tree possessed.
"Oh, oh!" Mohana exclaimed and bounced back over to Nalin. "I think it has fruit up there!" She pointed toward the branches with her paw. "Maybe if we eat one, something magical will happen!"

"Well why not!" Nalin grinned back at Mohana. The young minya decided to investigate the base of the tree for anything magical, but was cut short in his investigation when his new friend mentioned something up in the tree.
"Really?" He squinted his eyes up, trying to make out where the fruit was. "I think I see it!" Now it was his turn to look at Mohana with wide eyes. "Wow. I never thought of that... but I bet you're right!"
The tree was pretty tall however. Nalin could reach the first branch down fairly well, but how to get the fruit? "The tree's pretty tall though..."
